Are you going with a front, v or stock mount?

What size core are you looking at Broken09? The core size for my Spearco V-mount that I made is 27X10X3. Just curious as to how much larger or smaller yours is going to be so I can see where I need to be. The actual IC core is the only thing I haven't ordered as of yet because I want to get some more info on it prior to buying one. Sean, please feel free to answer this question if you are know the answer. Thanks as always guys.

And that size core would support the extra horsepower you mentioned earlier? I just don't want to buy a core that is too small. If you don't mind Sean, I'd really like to know which core you decide on. I was happy to see that I was pretty close to the same size you're thinking about.

What power levels are you trying to achieve? It should be more than fine. I'm leaning torwards the 24" core simply because I am not too sure 27" will add enough benifit to outway the additonal flow loss.

Well I picked the car up tonight. I must send a big thanks out to the guys at A-Spec for putting in all the time and effort to get the car running and tuned the way it is. This kit is unbelievable. The response is insane and it's an abolute blast to drive. I loved the car before with the T3 35r but that doesn't even compare to the car now. Basically my first two words when I first laid into the throttle tonight were "holy ****." Ok I'm going back out for a while. Thanks again Sean, Steve, and the rest of you guys at A-Spec.

Sean,

I'm looking to make right around the same numbers as Nic did on pump gas. Right around the 450whp mark in other words. I would like the IC to be able to flow enough for me to get higher on C16 just for bragging rights, but that isn't a main concern of mine by any means. Are you saying that the 24"X12"X3" will work for the numbers I'm wanting? Thanks a million for all of your help!!

I made a mistake the cores I've used are 24x12x3.5 They are rated from the manufacturer at 550hp I can tell you form looking at the charts given to me 3.5 is rated only margianlly more than 3.0 so I wouldn't worry about it. Your in the right area.

Nic,

Make sure to include some good under hood shots. I'd like to see your IC setup and see how your piping is run. Thanks bro. I'm glad that the turbo is doing what you expected it to do. Drive safe.

Nic,

Any news since you've had the car back for a little while now? Also, whatever happened to you posting up pictures of the car for all of us to drool over? I take it that you're still loving the turbo?

Yeah I totally forgot to take pictures. I will try to do it tonight or this weekend. Just been pretty busy. News is still the same. Car is a ton of fun. Been driving it a lot over the last week in a variety of situations, IE city, highway, country roads, and in all areas I feel I couldn't have more fun. Around the city it drives great with plenty of ***** to go from stop to stop, but on the highway it shines as well. I had a couple of sport bikes messing with me on the onramp of the highway yesterday and they were quite surprised when I pulled away from them as we moved onto the highway. All in all I'm very happy with the setup. After I take care of a few things and get money in check I plan to go back and tune for higher boost, we'll see if it'll be this fall or next spring after the IC/piping has been refabbed we'll see how things pan out. I definately recommend A-Spec's kit if you're looking for something that's good all around. I am anxious to get it out on the track and see how it performs, provided everything goes well I hope to meet up with some people at Gingerman on the 2nd of next month or at least make it to one of the test and tunes. I'll update again later and will try to get pictures as soon as I can.

Nic,

Great to hear that you still like the new turbo. I figured you would, but I wanted to ask just because I was curious. And it was never a question of going with A-Spec or not. Just a question of going with the 1.06 T3 hotside or the 1.02 T4 hotisde. I WILL be buying my turbo kit from Sean. I decided that several months ago. I'll be looking forward to seeing the pictures of your car when you get them posted up. Thanks again bro.

Sean...I how would I find out my IC's performance design. I have the Greddy engine bay but its converted to air to water. Maybe Pluto can answer as he has seen Fast Freddy's and Turbo Mark57's and may recall intake temps. Your setup sounds awsome.Congrats to you and Broken09!

The efficiency is the ratio of the temperature removed from the air by the intercooler relative to how much temperature is put into the air by the turbo/supercharger.

So..... If the turbo puts 150 degrees F into the air when compressing the air, and the intercooler removes 110 of those degrees, then the efficiency is:

Eff = 110 / 150 = .733, or 73.3%

With that said you would need to read air temp before and after the core.

Pictures as promised. Not great since I took them at work but you get the idea. Yes I know the engine bay needs cleaning and the car needs paint... the car is definately function over form for now.
As for the IC disregard the fact there is no ducting to the sides of it. I forgot to put them in before taking the car to A-Spec, and just haven't had time recently to rework them before putting them back in.

And some of you had asked for a shot of the car in PM's, it's a bad pic given there were cars on both side, I'll post others later after a nice wash and wax and in better location, but it gives you the idea.

It's the RE (Rotary Extreme) kit. It uses a Spearco intercooler core, and a modified Koyo radiator.

As per usual, I can't see the pictures do to the government firewall. This really sucks. But I'm sure somebody here will be nice enough to email them to me. Or I'm hoping so anyway. Thanks for posting up the pictures and I'll give you feedback once I see them. If anyone is going to be nice enough to email them to me then just PM me for my email address.

on the new longer runner manifold on the T4 GT35R the airpump can not be mounted. Only on the T3 Turbine GT35R

The only way you can get a airpump mounted is using the short runner manifold.
