Finally an update.

Here is a video with the old setup driving at Zandvoort playing with some friends.
http://www.vimeo.com/4194472

my motor died at Spa.....broken apex seal.
a while ago I bought a engine from someone here on the forum...with a water seal problem.

front plate was bad.

I order a rebuild kit from RA with the super seals.
ported the plates with a large street port.

So it time to build the engine.

everything ready

Where to start ?

Front plate including rotor 1

shaft in place

rotor housing on top.

tricky part: apex seals

next plate

rotor 2 coming

With such a beautiful engine.

Such marvelous work and genius methodology.

I find it hard to understand how you could not go with Aux Water/Meth injection.

Regardles ,- this engine makes me wet my pants ;D

My favorite fabricated part is the oil pan. I also envy your clean engine building table layout.

Turbo coolant line looks like its too short and is stretched out.

Where are your coils mounted? Where did you relocate the fan relays to?

Engine bay looks great, this is the exact type of builds I like to see Also what water pump are you running? Link?

Thank you all !

Here is a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFpR9c0ERcE

Oil pan is great but still leaking.
OEM oil pan was ****... this one is wet all arround.
I only did use the O-ring that came with the pan.
Anyone a suggestion ?

Coils are under the BOV
Coolant is exact the right lenght... engine is on aluminium motor mounts so it doesn't shake :-)

The oil return good be bether I know..I need to try to fit a 45 degr. elbow.

The FRP is backwards because there is a fuel pressure sensor mounted in the hole where the meter normaly will go.

My last engine had a lot of oil pan pressure...I tried to vent it in a few ways... but non worked.
Oil pressure is normal... now the oil pan is leaking again... do I need to mount it with sealant ?
What can cause high oil pressure at the oil pan ?

You can feel air blowing out of the oil fill cap when the engine is running?

If you didn't use any sealant on the oil pan o-ring I would take apart and put some on the matting surfaces with the o-ring.

from what I have heard, "the right stuff" gasket sealant is among the best for a leak proof oil pan. NICE BUILD BTW

@jeroentje: ...some don't use any kind of gasket because of this problem and mount the oil pan only with some kind of sealant like hylomar, which i use (even Pineapple recommends it...).

Did you use the porting plates from a specific tuner? Sounds nice, would be interesting to see pics of the ports and their sizes...

I did not use any sealant... just the O-ring.

Now I have mounted it with sealant and it still looks ok after 10 minutes.

I used Pineapple large street port templates.
Only the first start it sounded like that.
the 850cc injector where not correctly setup. with the good lag time it is running leaner and sounding different like almost stock ports.
It's running smooth at 900 rpm

...hmm, i also wanted to go with the Pineapple Plates, but had only seen the Medium Streetport plates. But Rob told me they want to update their lineup soon. Do you have a link to these plates? Perhaps we're speaking about the same...

Then do like 500km on normal fuel.
switch to E85 and adjust the fuel map en do an other 500km
Then do the final map

banzai racing sells an oil ban brace to prevent the engine torqueing that makes the stock pans leak. not sure if it'd fit on your custom pan though.......

The car has done some miles now.
tested on full throttle.
1.1 bar with boost controller off...... so 44mm tial is to small.
Now I have installed an other synapse (old one failed) and boost is down to 0.8 bar
All fuel is out and E85 is in... ready for tuning on a dyno... this will happen Tuesday at Reworx.
