Im assuming extra dowels or larger stud kit? No one ever seems to want to answer that question on the higher hp cars.

Not with that torque curve. It's making right around stock HP at 4000RPM.

Hey, everyone, thanks for all the congrats, I am the owner of the car and have been on here popping in every now and then. Just saw some of your responses and wanted to let you all know I took the car out for a nice drive tonight. As for your question in regards to normal driving, the car feels just fine at lower rpm, not super responsive, but that is to be expected with full bridge and a large turbo. I got on the car hard through the first three gears and part of 4th. The had a lot of wheel spin in all three gears, and the butt got just a little sidways going from 3rd to 4th gear. I did not see any wheel spin in the short range I was in 4th, pulled insanely hard in 4th though up to 125 where I let off. Also keep in mind I did and manual swap on the car and have the auto rear end in it. so I have taller gears. As for rubber I am on a shity pair of kuhmo escata 712s on the stock wheels. The car is pretty scary on these wheels.

I guess I should also add that my next step with the car is to do the body and wheels, you can see these in my old thread "pics of my build". Also on the dyno I maxed out my 1600/1000cc injectors or we would have liked to run more boost. My plan is also to get the excessive lower intake manifold and make my own upper intake to solve the fuel problem as the excessive lowers have 2 more injector bungs.

I was going to ask if you were still on the stock upper and lower manifolds. Water/Meth? If so, pre turbo, post turbo, both? What ECU? Rotors side clearanced? Aviation unbreakables or just the classics? Stock TB, any porting on the TB?

I could probably go on for days Sorry if any of hte above info was posted and I didnt see it.

Stock upper and lower mani's for now, as well as the TB...no porting. Excessive lower intake will be used with two more injectors, along with a custom upper manifold and larger TB (Q45 perhaps) in the near future.
Meth injection post turbo, the nozzle is threaded into the the GReddy Elbow pre TB, Power FC, Zavier can chime in on the Aviation seals and rotor clearance. Thanks man.

RC injectors, 43 lb. base fuel pressure rising 1-1 in boost, straight meth, comes on at 18 psi, injectors are at 100% basically.
The motor made 518 at 18 psi with no meth

Thanks for sharing and nice numbers.

Was the 518HP on pump gas?

Since you're adding fuel via meth injection, are you at all concerned if anything fails with the injection setup, the motor might be affected?

Congrats again, nice numbers.

Anthony

Thanks Anthony
Yes, the 518 was on pump.
As far as being concerned with the injection system failing...I guess no more concerned than anything else possibly failing. Our A/F ratios are constantly monitored, but at these levels, with the required tuning, if anything fails (not just the meth injection), then there's usually problems. We hope for the best!

Great numbers well done!!

What are you going to do re the methanol inj? Get a mappable system? And what about the pump I thought they couldnt cope with much more than 50/50 water meth before pump seals will start to break up?

Thanks guys,

The seals are of EPDM construction, which is highly resistant to breakdown. They should work fine with straight meth.

Thanks! To be honest, there's alot more to be made with pump gas using auxiliary injection (meth, water...) we ran out of fuel at 24 psi, and 7500 rpm...with more fuel, more boost...throw in a custom intake manifold, lighter rotors, E shaft....I have no problem saying 750 could be done on pump, possibly 800 using AI. As long as the motor can handle it (dowel/studs, seals, E shaft), wind it out some more...we'll get there!

Thanks for the response JDM.. so basically your set up is the same as running race gas, execpt your doing it with pump gas and methanol. my concer with that is on a road trip having to much fun i might run out of meth, this is why i choose to run 70%water and 30%meth, can easy get like 4 bottles of heth gas antifreeze to compensate for the meth. I'll post my number when i i finally get my GT4202 back from being rebuild and see what numbers i can squize out, i happy with 500-550rhwp.
post up the 1/4 time when you get it out, should be a blast, i know im excieted to get mine out with some slicks on the back.

You bet, any other questions just holler. 5-550 should be no problem, the limiting factor with your set up (same with our motor) is the fuel. Another rail of secondaries and you can really push some air through it, provided the motor is up to handling it. I doubt we'll be running any 1/4 miles any time soon, maybe just to see what she'll do. Cars being built more for top speed. What rear end will you be using? axles?

i have
Kaaz 1.5 LSD
Rx7 store Chromoloy axel
Rx7 store launch kit
Solid diff mount
Trans brace
Apexi N1 coilovers

yeah i was thinking about the new LIM with 4 injectors option, but only wanted about 550whp, maybe 600rwhp, i think i can do that on pump and my mix of meth and water with my current set up. do you have a full build up list of parts, i would love to compare.
