hey guys!!! im in the process of going single turbo with a t78 on stock ports...im just wondering how the feel would be..is it lagging, really lagging or awfully lagging..also what number horsepower should i be expecting around 15psi...its mostly going to be a street car..and any recommendation of tuners in socal....im really excited..so please give me some feedback.

From my understanding, without at least a street port, it's gonna take a big single a Long time to spool.

 

What about bigger injectors?

 

What size is the hot side? You will need a really low A/R for best results but it will still be very laggy

 

i have 1600cc secondary injectors and stock 550cc primary..i've been told that 1600cc secondary is enough..

 

i believe the greddy t78 hotside are 1.06..since greddy dont really give out specs so its hard to say.

 

I think people worry about lag a little to much. I'm on a stock port with a mid size turbo and don't have much lag, I get ful boost around 3900 (17.5 psi). If you're just gonna drive it on the street, highway, and occasional dragstrip, then I'd go for it.

 

how much horsepower are you putting to the wheel with that setup and stock ports..im hoping that 15 psi on stock ports should get me around 400whp with the t78? and from what i read from other people it sounds very posssibe, is it.

 

Yea, it's very possible. I haven't been on the dyno, but I should be around 400. Also, with a good tuner 17psi is pretty safe.

 

anybody know if i can startup the car with the power pfc base map and would it be ok to drive with no boost down to a tuner shop.

 

im about ready to fire up the car for the first time after going single turbo..would the car even fire up with the stock pfc base map..dont i have to set the injector setting to the right size and if so dont the pfc only allow you to set the secondary up to 1300cc with the commander, so would this cause my car not to start because i have 1600cc secondaries..thanks
