Choosing a turbo

I'm looking for a turbo that will give me 500rwhp on pump and a max of 650wrhp on race fuel with a good spool like around 3500rpm. I was looking at the t04z with the .84 AR i think it will do the job. Give me some feed back

.84 will not give you 650whp on race gas. It also wont give you 500whp on pump gas. Your about two sizes too small for those numbers.

define spool? asuming you mean full boost, you arent gonna find a turbo that can make 650 whp and make full boost at 3500. unless we are talking 20b.

The 1.00 a/r will definatly give you 500 on pump, but you will need water injection. Plus a good tuner who knows what they are doing, and supporting mods. As for 650 on race gas I don't know if anyone has done yet with the T04Z. I can't say enough good things about the T04Z. I love mine best turbo I've ever run!

I would as well buy the HKS t04z or the t51r for even more power, which allows up to 700whp.

garrett GT-45. you should still have room to grow on that one too. you don't want to be running out of steam all of the way to your hp goal. there are other options as well. there are gt-47 and gt-55 options also. gt-45 should be enough to make this goal though.

First off the HKS T04z is a GIANT waste of money. You can buy the exact same one from Garrett for 1/4 the price.
Second unless this is a track/dyno queen car only, anything like the 42R and above is overkill. Oh, and good luck hitting 700+.

the manufactuer's hp rating doesnt apply to rotary. always keep that in mind. they are gonna be a few hundred hp high of what a rotary can produce.

What is " good spool " anyhow? If you're talking full boost by 3500rpms and 500rwhp, it ain't "hatnin' "

Really? If I remember correctly I made 503rwhp on pump at 20psi on A-Spec's 500R and had 20 lbs right around 3800.... Just food for thought.
