Anyone run the newer 6765 BILLET turbo??
A 1.06 divided should spool fast and I have heard of one or two maybe hitting the 500hp mark. The a-spec side of the forum has a lot of posts on the 35r and there was a good video or one on the dyno, but not sure of the a/r.
Although running a 500r I'm not too sure it would be that big a jump to go to a 35r even if its a 1.04. The 6265 comes in a 1.01 I think but I'm not sure if you can get it divided though. Than there is the wait that goes with that.
Logan @ Defined autoworks will be installing one of these billets on an FD in the near future. Unsure of the exact "model" they're running, but are aiming for 600whp.
They sure are purdy though I'll say that
And there's alot of neat little tricks in the compressor wheel maching......

I'm not real impressed with the machining on these units. The front covers have a nice lip left unfinished, and the compressor wheels finish is terrible for flow. The billet pieces from Garret don't have any of this. On a side note the 62mm wheel looks like a 60-1 minus a pair of blades..
We are going to wait until we do a 67mm turbo to do a comparison. No sense in pitting this against a regular Gt35R, it has a bigger compressor; I'm sure it will make more power..
I can see these spooling faster, the base area has a lot less meat..

Garrett makes the GT55's with billet compressors.
I would love to see garrett run billet wheels in the gt35's, but according to one of there new articles on billet wheels I dont think they will be making any. http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbob..._Machined.html

I think I'm still going to test the waters on the 6265. I on a waiting list for the turbo about 3 weeks from Precision and Sean from aspec is going to build the manifold and dp, and his waiting list is about 2 more months.
haha you should go ahead and expect it to be like 4 months.. the quality of their stuff is good but you wait for it. I have heard good things about these turbos. I think I am going to try out the 6765 .96 ar
