Guys I'm very sorry to say that I will not be able to make the event. I started a new job (after being layed off of my previous job that I'd had for 11 years.) and I am not going to be abl to take off that Friday to get there.

I hate not making this as I was so pumped about putting my car on the track.

Maybe next year.

Steele, AL is about an hour or so (+/- 15 mins) from 280/I-459. If you want, you could caravan with us to the drag strip.

 

what time is this caravan leaving and from were?

 

Since it starts @ 9:30AM on Saturday, I say we meet at Trussville Mazda around 8:15 and leave around 8:30-8:45. As of now, David Garfinkle and Jeremy (PureMdMa) will be staying with me and will caravan with us.

It will take about 30-45 mins to get there from Trussville.

 

Only 2-3 days depending on which you are going to.

 

Trussville Mazda is where ?? ... if you guys are going North on 459 , maybe I'll pick you up there along the way , shouldn't be hard to miss you guys

I would think Talladega is closer to you, but Steele will be more of a social gathering than TGPrix if I had to guess.

 

If I show up by 12:30 can I still run? Is there going to be a class? Do I need to pre sign up for the drag race? Or is it just show up pay $15 and run all you want. ??

If you go by how Steele usually works its pretty much run as much as you want in order of how many people are running. So I would guess you could get there at any time we are all running and then join in the line. But Jeremy and the guys may have a more structured way of doing things for this event.

OH and Pray for no rain tomorrow even as much as we need it otherwise.

Jeremy (puremdma), I was watching the news today and they said it should clear out by late morning tomorrow.. So, hopefully we'll at least get some dry road later on the day...

Not familar with this fuel but prices seem ok on the 110-112.

Yeah im bringing my camera too so we will have a plethera of pix. I just got my wheels in the car, glad they fit. The car is gonna be dirty as hell seeing we cant wash cars here now at home.
