ill be there with a fellow member and their ride. i might bring my SA. we will see how it plays out.

 

Im planning on coming just dont know what car ill be in, which should I register under? I wouldnt wanna pay more then bring the 7 or vice versa. Ill either be in the 7 or the STi.

Should I invite Hinson Super Car LS1 FD??

 

I say yes to Hinson. I would love to see another one of his cars. There was a Hinson Turbo LS1 FD running about 7 flats at Huntsville last time I was down. Great cars rotary or not. That's my $.02.

 

Id love to see Hinson's car in person on the track. Invite him I say.

 

Was it silver? I did not know it was a turbo! Last time i spoke with him it was still being built and he said it was all motor (built heavy). He told me it should go low 7's. If that was the same one it looks very nice as I saw it last Saturday coming from the track. What was his trap speed?

 

It was probably a red 7. I think I was there that night too. I was running my Probe...

 

I met up with a former rotary/current LS1 FD owner yesterday and he is planning to come.

I've also emailed hinson and if I don't hear from him, I'll give him a call about this event. IT should be one hell of an event if these guys come!

 

I can't remember the color right off the top of my head, but you could here the turbo spool. If you were out the same night as me, HDP, then you would have probably seen me in my white turbo GSL-SE. Also, I think the FD was an auto.

 

nah, I was not at the track but I live like 5 minutes away. I saw a silver (LS1) FD and and his brother on his sport bike coming back from that direction on Jordan (53). I hate to say it but I expect way more out of a turbo LS1. Just a built LS1 should go 7's. I would think a boosted LS1 would = even on low boost 600+rwhp. Enough to go 6's. But he may be just dialing it in before he unleashes its potential. Either way 7's are still very fast for any car!

 

Yeah sk8world, I think he was still on shakedown runs. I think he had a guy from Hinson's out there helping him with his setup. He was running no times on the board, but he ran a 7 second car and they ran about the same.

 

The time board was struck by lightning the previous night.

 

I just got an email from Hinson and they are going to try to make it to this event.. Just for the drag...

Looks like a lot of people are going to be there Satuday, so who all is going to be there Friday?? and who is going to be running Friday??

 

I'll be there on Friday with my 8 and Saturday with my 7.

 

Looks like we will be there with the wide body FB, Friday for track day and Saturday to hang out.

Track the 7!!!! J/k the 8 will do good, the 7 would probably have some overheating issues with only one oil cooler.
