Can we please get a group together to get Steve Kan in Florida to do a tune?

I could swear you have tried to organize or attend
several Tuning Sessions, and somehow always
miss them, back out, fizzles out, people dont
commit, etc.

I kept thinking it's the same thread, until I actually

One thing I can always count on,
...is to not count on anybody.

Perhaps you should go to Steve Kan yourself (drive there, and rent a truck/trailer your car) - rather than having to depend on other people to set up a tuning session.

I believe there are other good PFC tuners in central Florida to, if you don't want to travel that far.

That way you will have 100% support from your tuner, and
not be "rushed".

A good street tune takes a while to get perfected.

 

Who in Central Florida would you recommend? Inquiring minds want to know.

 

I may be in. If you bring him to north florida, i can get a good deal on dyno time at the shop i work at. Load control/02 etc, everything.

 

just drive to pettit racing man. cam does a good job of tuning.

japtrix also does an awesome job with rotories who are also in west palm beach.. they're a bit more expensive though.

its not like steve is the only rotary tuner in the world. you have many options in florda

 

Miami is 300 miles from Jacksonville; I can just as easily go to Atlanta. Who in Central/N. FL can you trust to tune an FD?

Power FC, single turbo with supporting mods.

 

everytime I see Cam I ask him when is he going to learn to tune the PFC and he says, "Thats Steves job" or something like that LOL..
anyway I have posted asking who is the Steve Kan of Florida with the PFC and I dont think I have gotten any responses. I would gladly drive somewher in FL if I knew for SURE that there was a good tuner here, otherwise I'm going to keep trying to get Steve to come. So can someone point me to a good FL tuner(Power FC) or can we please get Steve to come!?

 

uhhh whens the last time you talked to him man because cam's been tuning power fc's for a bit now.

tuned my buddy darrell's a few monts ago and only charged him about 250$ and he did a damn good job.

 

I actually spoke with both Cam and Steve a few days ago. Cam says the shop is pretty much always available for Steve. Steve says he only commits if he has enough people with down payments up front (roughly 10 ... maybe less, who knows). You can count me in if you want Steve at Pettit. Let me know, I'm not good with the organizing it part, but you can count me in as one person for sure.

Cam installed my pfc, but the map he loaded on there needs tweaking. He recommended Steve.

i have a pettit limited and greddy profec b spec
and i am looking at cam to tune that until i get the pfc

Scott at Mazsport in Tampa is a tuner extraordinaire, he tuned my friends 13bmx5turbo, and i know it does 140mph in 4th gear before we made a turn, not 1 nano second of hesitation or miss!
there is someone from Puerto Rico who comes in occasionally, i forget his name, but he is suppose to be THE MAN in Rico for tuning, there are old threads about him.

Okay so that's 4 so far unless I missed someone ... me, zydeco king, robrxray, and redline9. Good start but we need a few more to get Steve interested. Anyone else for Steve Kan tuning at Pettit Racing?

Okay, just bumping the thread for the long weekend to see if we can get more takers. Again, it's Steve Kan tuning at Pettit Racing. The cost is roughly $350-$600 depending on car mods.

We've got 4 people so far, but Steve needs like 10 people ready with cash up front before he'll commit to the trip here to FL. He's one of the best tuners out there and your car will love you for having him tune it.

 

actually I think Steve needs only 5 people to commit AND send the deposit in, I am ready whenever so if we have FIVE people money in hand ready to send to Steve then please say so

Okay, I just sent Steve an email to his Gotham Racing address directing him to this thread so he can keep an eye on what's going on here. Hopefully we can make this happen soon.

 

I am in, but not if I have to drive to S. FL. Make it Orlando or something more reasonable for everyone.
