Does anyone know of any autocross events in or near the up state? I would like to try and get started in it instead of just flying up mountains, thanks for any info.

 

i was thinking recently about trying to pull my old SC friends out of seclusion... and start doing meets again...

as for autoX events... i dont know about the upstate, but i'm sure Asheville ones will start soon... hillclimbs too... i think a miata friend said he did a race in clemson over the past weekend... (and when you come up to the mountains, please PM me! i would love to go for a drive and make a new friend)

I'm up for meeting in upstate and maybe Columbia. Charleston is to far for me.

 

no worries project7s, there were only a few folks who would make the drive to each meet, regardless of location... we get back into meeting up, i know i'll be happy just to see you coming to the ones you can attend...

Leesville SC here! Near Columbia. Engine is out of my car at this time though. Someone was actually going to crush the car and I bought it to put back together. The body and interior are in pretty good shape and was just missing the engine. Still even has the map pocket lid!

 

New to Summerville area. Would love to find some meets to go to as soon as car is ready. Finally getting off my but to actually work on it. Will be starting a build thread here soon.

both of my cars are still under the knife, hopefully I will get the FD back sometime i the next couple of months.

 

We definitly need to have a meet up. Seems that there are more of us in the Greenville/Spartainburg area than I thought. I just need to get my FC running again after having to replace the fuel lines and getting Greg to clean my injectors.

We could collectively go to the next Cars and Coffee - there's never very many RX-7s there. They're the 4th Saturday of each month at the Michelin HQ parking lot. Of course, that's contingent on my RX7 actually being running by then...

 

The problem I have with Cars and Coffee is I like to sleep in on the weekends.

I'll show up to an upstate meet if I am in town. It'll give me an excuse to dig the FD out of the garage.

Haha, me too. Plus I always end up being out of town on the 4th Saturday of the month. I'll be at Road Atlanta for "The Mitty" this time (April 25-26).

 

We have about 4 or 5 guys in my upstate fd group. We could most likley get a meet together. Usually at least 2 or 3 of us at cars and coffee.

 

I work for Michelin in lexington and would love to go but I have the engine out of my car at the moment....
