SC SC RX7 owners Roll Call

Alright guys. I wanted to get a head count on who is active in the state, who is coming too deals gap, and who needs help getting their car finished so they can go to DGRR this April. Additionally, I'd like to know who has what so we can do our best to equally represent the various generations as much as possible.

In Greenville

1 FD modded to the hilt and another bone stock, but have a few things for it already.

Bringing both to DGRR 12' provided I can get somethings for the modded FD.

West Columbia. 86 RE-base. Looks like the wife and I will be able to make it to DGRR this year.

In a side note, I need someone that can repair fiberglass (decent sized crack) and repaint a front bumper for a reasonable price. Anyone? I already have the paint materials.

Ladson. 94 MB - PEP. This would be my first year at DGRR. LIM vacuum leak resulted in conversion to single w/ Xcessive Manufacturing new LIM and single fuel rail. This sure simplifies working on the engine. Why didn't I do this sooner??

So register yourself. I'm going to ultimately use this list as the basis for a big meet someplace.

Ok guys. now that we have a rough estimate of how many people will be at deal's gap this year. I would like to know who if any would like to throw in on a cabin . Ideally we would get a larger one provided there is enough interest.

Find out how much, Chris. I was going to go in with another group, but my portion would have been $300 for two nights. No way in hell I can afford that.

If the price is reasonable, Nicole and I are in.

yeah, doesn't a cabin cost something like $300?
I believe in the past we've split it at least 4 ways, and they have beds/couches to accommodate 5.
I think ill be up for a cabin deal if we can get the split under $50.
Or ill look into camping.

I've been thinking about how much a DGRR trip cost total.
According to last year I think I spent:
$250 on fuel
add about $30 a day on food, so 3 days $100.
$30 for DGRR registration.
up to $50 for housing.
= $430 round it to: $450.

If I keep going to DGRR's for the rest of my life, it'll cost me up to $15,000.

The name is Bob. I'm in Spartanburg....I have a 91 GXL. Slammed, stanced, boso exhaust. Looking to do some porting here in the near future if anyone in the area has any suggestions or experience with such matter, please don't hesitate! Also I was wondering if anyone has dealt with Roger Mandeville. I hear great things!

Reese, it really depends on how many people throw in. Last year we had 5 guys an myself and the ex in a two bedroom with bunk beds and the two sofas. it was actually pretty nice since you spend most of the time at the lodge or doing things. Honestly this year i'd like one of the houses that sleep "7 or 8 people " But you know that's not including sleeping bags and air mattresses. Here is a link to Nantahala Village.

I want Moonlight reflections ( pool table) or the Eagles nest guys. And reservations need to be made soon. No pressure. Guys. or the basket ball court. That hill seems like a nice drive.
And please remember the price would be split evenly among the people staying in it. So I'm budgeting 200 for myself and Emily assuming we have the same amount of people in the cabin this year. . And an additional 200 for raffle tickets. I want that damn clutch this year. I'll show you lady luck ( shakes fist threateningly)
if anyone wants more info on DGRR or the cabin cost sharing feel free to call me I'm usually at my shop, but I always have time for fellow SC rotary enthusiasts.

yeah that cabin ended up being a little more expensive than i expected. i think it is one of the most expensive ones watershed has. reason we chose it this time is because it was so big and nice, and it's what we ended up with last yr due to issues with the water in the cabin(fontana view) we originally reserved. i posted a pic of the outside in this thread i started.
https://www.rx7club.com/deals-gap-rotary-rally-157/cabin-sharing-dgrr-2012-a-981597/

according to all my gas receipts last yr i spent $127 in gas and that included going with a group to the mitty sunday morning.

So the charleston group got together Sunday afternoon to figure out some DGRR stuff. we figure that if everyone commits to 100 bucks that we should be able to get a nice cabin. but it could get better if we get more interested parties. SO!1 PM away if your interested in joining in. Additionally we can caravan and pickup more 7's or 8's on the way up through SC. So spread the word among your local RX8 owners and lets all do our part to make this DGRR the biggest and best one yet.
