Yeah, Josh is the MAN, he gets to buy everyone dinner at the next drive-in for being the MAN. Sorry but those are the rules of the Forum, anyone who posts the 1000 comment must buy everyone else that has ever posted on the thread a meal and shake their hand for making his comment count.

Just let us know when we should all be there.

congratulations Josh

Now is that the attitude of a Rotary driver, You don't look for excuses not to do something you look for ways to accomplish the impossible. You hunger for challenges, and thrive on problems. No biggie, we just want to know where we're gonna eat.

How about this for an excuse?

You can't afford a $3 cheeseburger for everyone because you used all your money on parts for the 7.

You can point out a new gas cap.

with all the people we have showing up at the meets. i calculated a meal for everyone at chargrill to be somewhere in the $70-120 range. in light of that i withdraw the 1000th post.

Now that is an acceptable reason that we all could understand and could feel compassion for Josh. I would've been embarassed for even mentioning his lofty accomplishment and would not have been able to bring myself to mention the obligations of the acheivement. I would probably have bought Josh dinner at the next drive-in.

Ryan, I know it was up there. It is even on the autotrader for $2400. Maybe I need to quit drinking all the time.

Bert, your too much, this whole dinner thing has made me laugh out loud here at work more than once today.

I know I can't afford decent food...

I usually eat lunch at places that have dollar menus... less money on food means more money on FC! I got into that habit when I was saving for the exhaust. Yes, it's killing me slowly, but do I really want to last longer than my car?

Now this is the attitude of a true rotary fanatic. His car is more important than food, than love, yes, even more important than life.

Johny, what a problem you have. What to do with another FC, I can't remember but this is the dark gray 86, right. Put her up for adoption or fix her up and appreciate her for the rare car that she is. It would be a good car for all of us to work on, share the costs, and rebuild from the ground up. Most of us could use the tool time and would love to learn more about all aspects of the car if we had somewhere to keep her garaged while the rebuild is in progress.

Another option, The Durham guys are looking for another project car to spend money and time on, they'd give her a nice home and appreciate her for what she is. Or we could get the Overhaulin' crew to come steal it and work their magic on it!

Just don't part her out.

An FD owner that chooses to spend money on his car rather than his friends, imagine that! Now that's an attitude that we all can understand. You are a true rotarian of the hightest order.

Picked up an 88 GXL tonight. Its black with bbs rims. Runs good. Body is ok, it has a dent in the right front fender. Interior is ok as well, needs radio surround and a drivers seat. Everything else works. Good thing is i only paid $700. Should be a good daily driver while i'm working on my TII project that i'm hoping to start soon.

Congratulations, finally stepped up to the Black FC, a BRILLIANT decision! Was that the one that was at the gas station next to Char Grill? Great buy, what's the mileage?

good to hear it Steve. did you buy from the guy in the autotrader that says all his 7s are under 1000? he has a TII listed, I was gonna try and take a look at it. I have been giving some serious thought to adding a TII to my very small stable.

oh and, Ryan, still waiting on those pics...
