On a different note...anyone who gets MazdaSport magazine should be very happy, Bobby repped the RRDI (got the word out as to when the meets are), the RRDI website and Greg's website, Jill and his RX-8 in what was almost a full page spread...that's on page 20. ok guys im going to tell you what happened on my way to work this morning...
im driving down cary parkway, 2 lane rd, and i speed up to pass a line of cars because my turn is coming up. going 60 or so. the silver suv that im in the blind spot of decides to get into my lane. no signal nothing nada zip. i have one choice. slam the brakes unless i want to get hit. and.... yup all 4 wheels lock.so now im sliding and end up sideways in both lanes still sliding, and in the procces of (over)correcting i manage to spin myself the other direction comleatly 270 so im now facing oncoming traffic in my lane coning to a stop.
perfect time for the police officer to drive over the median and jump out. so im now thinking im screwed im alive but about to get slapped with a reckess endangerment ticket, but when i tell him ill get my liscence and registration he said, for what reason? your not drunk, i saw the whole thing. so he lets me turn around and go after saying thank you to him.
im just rather happy to be alive right now, and with no injuries to me or anyone else nor damage to my precious 7. so remember kids, its not you you have to watch out for, its the random soccer mom on a cell phone that lurks on the roadways so play it safe.

Glad you came out okay. 99.9% of the time I'm a pretty good driver: alert, signaling, checking, not distracted...etc. Every once in a while I'll have a stupid attack. I think it happens to all of us whether we let our pride admit it or not.
In my short morning commute I do see a lot of distracted drivers: women putting on make up, men shaving, both on the phone, people singing...etc. I drive the speed limit or no faster than the flow of traffic when its dense. It gives me that little bit more time to react. I also think some drivers assume everyone is on the same rhythm and end up pulling out and getting surprised by faster cars.

but I do have the photos Jeff took of Jill and I . Some of the photo's I took are supposed to be in there as well. They are also going to do a spot on DGRR this year at some point (for those who haven't seen the topic in the DGRR forum).

Alright, now for my part...I was in Raleigh today for an OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration for those who don't know), sorry I missed you guys but it was a work thing, you understand. Anyhoo, I went with one of the guys from the last class, and he lives across the street from Stan Crisp, the original owner of the RX-3. So I stopped by and took some pics, I missed him today though but I'm going back sometime soon to chat. Here are the pics...
Oh yeah, and I might be picking up an FC, depending on the condition, it runs but the crank angle sensor is screwed and I hear the body is pretty rough. But at least I'd have 4 RX-7s and all generations. Now if I could just get Stan to let me buy this RX-3, haha.
