^ So, I guess I shouldn't ask you about going to the autocross event the MSCCNC is putting on? Well, I know for sure I'll be there, I think Lance signed up and Eric planned on it too!

Hell yeah mang. He said they're gonna give me a tour of the facility and of course I'll pick the color, and when I go down the third time (to get the carpet installed) I have to take pics of the install so I can document any special instructions if need be, for future FD installs. I'm also getting floor mats (with embroidered logo, I'm assuming Mazda logo or something?) and possibly a hatch mat too. The only thing I'm not excited about is the drive, haha. If I'm not working this Saturday, you wanna go down there with me? I almost thought about just renting a hotel room and staying down there until they're finished with it, if it's only going to be 2 days or so, that way I would only have to make two trips and no one would have to go along. But if I did that I'd have to wait til the week after next cause we have the inspection next week and they wouldn't let me take off.

I'm trying to get my friend Liz into racing, would it be possible for she and I to share my car at the event? lol

^Eh, letting someone else race the car (although I don't think she'll actually do it), letting someone borrow a transmission, what's the difference really? Actually, Carl never borrowed the tranny anyway, but the offer still stands, haha.

Yeah let me know about Sweden, I might have to use some of my tax return to go.

We still have to get this autocross done, but how much interest would there be in a drifting/car control clinic?

Well I did my good deed for the day.

Saw on old dude in a white GSL-SE on the way home from class tonight parked on the side of the road. I went by him, turned around and went back to ask him what was up. Turns out he flooded it, I told him I could take out the plugs and turn the engine over and put em back in and it will start, he babbled on telling me, this is a rotary engine...obviously he didnt know who he was talking to Ended up towing him around and we got it started and he went on his way. Just thought i'd share. It was a CLEAN white 84 GSL-SE too with a new motor.
Now hopefully the turbo rotary gods will be good to me

I believe control class is scenarios like setup spinouts you have to break out from correctly. I know a BMW club around here was doing it.

I sure wouldnt mind a control class. Half of the battle is experiencing a slide or severe oversteer. After you know what it feels like, and have experience getting out of it they become fun. Before that they can be scary. It would be nice to push the car way over the edge in a controlled setting to see exactly how it acts. Ive kicked the back end loose before, but nothing that I could sustain or in which I felt completely comfortable.
