I will be giving free rides to everyone when it is done, hopefully by the end of august.

Maybe that's why I have a Miata and don't care that it has a 4 banger in it, it handles like an FB.

for me and quite a few others the choice was made simple. you get to bring the best thing about the rx7, the looks, together with the thing you love most about american muscle, lotsa cubic inches, power, and reliability. it's not for everyone, you have to love the pistons for this relationship to work. it took me two blown rotaries to be seduced by the darkside, but it happened.
i understand all the die-hard rotorheads, and appreciate that they defy logic for their love of the rotary. it is romantic idea to cast aside reason, for something that you love. so like i have said before keep the rotors spinning.

all I know is I need to finish my damn project! making your own brackets and designing everything is more time consuming then I thought!

How is the redline of the rotary an advantage??? The rotary has a power band of about 4k to 8k rpm and the Ls1 is 2k to 6,500. My car with the Ls1 made 300 rwtq at 2k rpm and didnt peak hp till 6k rpm (with a stock cam), That is a much better power band that and dyno chart I have for the rotary!

i suppose you are right. i guess i am just used to shifting high. i drive around in some of my friends cars, and i always seem to be bouncing off the rev limiter. probably need to readjust my driving style. it just seems like that redline comes up on you a lot faster. i am sure you know what i mean, there had to be some adjustment period for you too.

^Just clone yourself. Hell you'd be able to have a whole band of just you if you did that! You could call yourselves The Gregs or The Dirty Old Men, and there wouldn't be any arguing about "well why is YOUR name first on the billboard?"
On second thought, I'm not sure we could handle that many dirty old men in the club, haha. Perky is at full capacity already, haha.
