I'll be at the meet, and my car will be running properly. I may bring a couple VR4's and maybe my friend Long will bring his white Cobra that he had up at TOTD.

EDIT: I just got back from the stealership. Results...front 7.9/7.9/7.8 and rear 7.9/7.9/7.9 WOOHOO!!! So I guess it's the turbos that need a rebuild, haha. Not to mention getting my check valves or whatever in check. Mileage was 130,444 at time of check, so like Josh has said I'm pretty sure it's not the original engine, unless Mother Teresa owned this thing.

I'll be there tomorrow. I just put on my RB front and rear sway bars, Stance coilovers, a harness bar and front strut bar. I broke a set of wires going to the driver's side front brake rotor though. I'm assuming it's for the speedometer and/or odometer, and it goes to the firewall/inside of the wheel well. I saw that my tires did in fact rub on the fender itself at the Gap, so I'm glad I got all this stuff on now. Anyone interested in a spirited drive tomorrow? I'd like to try out my new toys.

Driving is good! You know, I still haven't really put my new suspension through the paces yet.

Of course, I really shouldn't with my bald *** tires.

^At first I was like "what the hell is Joey talking about?!" DRIVING IS GOOD! Yeah, Joe, it sure is. HAHA. I forgot I asked about the spirited drive. I'm a little concerned though cause that wire to my brake is broken, and when I was driving home last night it felt like only the passenger side front brake was working. And of course my ABS light is on now. Would that broken wire affect the mechanical part of it? What I mean is, since the wire is broken and the light is on, does that tell the car it's not working so it won't send fluid to that brake? Or does the mechanical part of the system independent in that respect? Anyone know?

^If it was the ABS wires you broke you have a small problem...now you said it still feels like you have brakes on the passenger side? Well, you still have brakes on both side but since those wires are broke and the ABS is electronically controlled, you just don't have ABS...you still have brakes though, don't worry about that, but it is gonna be very noticable. Is there any way you can spilce the wires for a temp fix? Let me know, hell give me call and I'll about getting some things together and we might be able to fix at the meet.

First let me state I'm not an expert on your specific problem, but I have some general knowledge of how ABS works.

That said, I'm pretty sure the only thing that should happen if you get an ABS failure, at least an electroninc failure, is that the brakes *should* revert to a non-ABS status and work just fine, excepting of course the *driver* will now have to actually *drive* the car... ;)

Try this, in a parking lot. Get up to say 20-30 mph and try to lock 'er up. You should get lock up, probably on the front only but that's not a function of the ABS, just normal brake set-up weight shift stuff. Depending on various factors (also non-ABS) only one tire might lock up, which doesn't mean there's a problem, but if both do I'd say you're in excellent shape. If just one try the locking up deal while turning hard one way, and then the other to try to shift which one locks first.

Bottom, line if any part of the system is malfunctioning such as 'disconnecting' one wheel's sensor, then the ABS should shut down soes not to screw you up with unbalanced braking...

OCTJMO, ICBW...

Eric, I had my ABS disabled on the Turbo. The light stays on and I can lock 'em up if needed which I prefer. Some people may say I'm wrong or I should learn how to drive or whatever, sucks to be them.

When I was a boy....we didn't have brakes. We had to drive in the snow to slow down...

How many experienced Power FC tuners do we have in NC? I need someone to come help me tune my car to get it running properly. I really have no idea how to tune this thing. Would anyone care to help sometime? Let me know. Mods in sig.

Oh BTW, I have gone to one of the meets before on a white 3rd gen with license plate RX74U2NV. I think there are some pics of it. This is my car that needs tuning though. I know that I met Bert and Christina.

There is Rotorsports (Kannapolis,NC), RX7World (Rock Hill, SC), and P1 Automotive (Fort Mill, SC just south of Charlotte). Any of these shops would do a good job and I know that P1 is PowerFC Certified by Apex'I.

I need someone that can get me running though. The car will not stay running. And I don't want to pull out fuel without knowing what I am doing.

The list WolfpackFD3S gave you are people that tune them. Of course you have to take the car to them first. I don't know of any experienced people that will come to you. You might be able to find someone who can give you enough info to get you running. Might want to post it up in the Engine Management Forum/PFC Forum section under Tech & Performance on here.

I'm with Greg here on the ABS thing. If your brakes are working fine but the ABS is broken, call it a "mod" instead of a "failure."

See you guys in a couple of hours.

Exactly, if you can't get the car running after going to the Engine Management forum, etc, you might have to get your car transported to one of the shops I listed earlier.

Ok thanks. I will try the Engine Management forum, I just didn't know if anyone was familiar with someone who goes to the meets or anything that would mind swinging by sometime to check out/ work on the ride. Hopefully I can get it going sometime soon and I will be at some meets.
