I would have to agree with you on that one Josh, the only 2 speeding tickets I've got in my life were when I had a custom plate.... it was also on my red FD though... you be the judge.

You are right, running the TOTD was definitely more stressful on the cars than a track event. The changes in elevation were pretty extreme as well as how fast the curves came. I don't think that you'd find a road course with that kind of difficulty. You know I don't think any Miata or MX-5, if that makes you feel more masculine, could've handled the TOTD and especially the trip to Fontana and back. I think Jimmy and Tom could've taken any miniata anytime they wanted. I appreciated Jimmy willing to compete on the mountains on I-40 when we went up them but his turbo could've eaten my grits anytime he got hungry. That trip in a caravan was a blast, the TOTD was a great experience, and the Sunday drive Jason and I took down to the Cherahola Skyway was a fun 133 mile circuit. Diane drove my car for the first time ever on Sunday and took it across the dragon from Deals Gap down to Madisonville. She was awesome. She spit in the dragons eye and kicked it in the butt. I'm gonna have to put a Tail of the Dragon magnet sticket on her Acura now!

I like the AntiVenom license plate as long as the mustang, Cobra, Viper drivers would get the message.

Spotted a VR FD down in the Crossroads area by Cary that I didn't recognize. I was going into Best Buy to pick up the new Mudvayne cd and parked next to it. Thought it might be a woman's car at first since it was an auto and it was dirty as hell but it did have a big canister exhaust out the back with some good scorch marks on the bumper.

WTF is that supposed to mean? I've seen lost of men drive automatics... ANNND I've seen lots of women have some bad-*** muffler systems. Am I REALLY that odd to like cars??

You know I am picking, but seriously... don't stereotype women! Otherwise I am not calling myself a woman anymore, but a rotorhead!

Hehe

Geez I was just kidding about the woman comment. Just wondering if anyone knew who it was. I don't usually stereotype women, for example my g/f is a very good driver and when I was teaching her to ride my motorcycle she did a very good job (other than being to afraid to shift and letting the bike tip over when a car came into the parking lot and spooked her when she was stopping ). It was a nice looking FD just dirty with all the freakin pollen in the air.

Deal's Gap or 'Atlanta Shootout' in fall

What are the dates for the June thing?? ...And does it cost anything for someone who is gonna be a tag-along car? Cuz I don't wanna drive in the school and spend all that money... but I do want to come. I remember seeing that thread a while ago... what's going on with our people?

When is GRR? A camping trip would be AWESOME for that!! Where is it? I missed that big event, too... dag nabbit. I'm totally done with non-rotary distractions... I'm going to do my best to make sure my car is better priority. I know a full sized tent equipment will fit in my FC... that tent sleeps 8 adults, actually... hehe... THAT would be interesting. LOL

well bert posted a couple of months back for someone to step up and organize the GRR this year. we didnt get any volunteers so i guess i will try and take the reigns.

when would everyone like to have the GRR; mid-summer, late summer, or early fall?

would everyone want to camp out somewhere like falls lake? i was thinking of using falls dam for our meeting spot this year either way.

give me your ideas, please.

Wow Josh, thats sick! I keep forgetting how much better a '94+ interior looks than a '93. I might be worried about that long coupler coming from the compressor though, do you think it'll hold the pressure? I have some smaller ones with maybe an inch or 2 gap and they create a significant little bulge sometimes.

BTW - did my picture show up of the red FD. I know some ppl have said my links don't show up for some reason.

the longer coupler is a temp thing. however it isnt silicon it is some other material and it has long reinforcement cords. havent seen a bulge yet, but it may happen. however, as soon as i can get to the shop i am going to get a section of tube.
