My dad just fixed it... it's in a STUPID place. When he gets home, I will ask him for you... cuz my horn didn't work until he rewired it for me.

Capri, I wouldn't have sworn they were S5 lights because it was dark and my eye sight sucks ! LOL I THOUGHT I saw a AE badge/emblem on the side, but then I thought the tailights were round so at the time I thought I was maybe seeing a 10AE with S5 lights...Anyway ,it was white with an aftermarket spoiler. Nice sounding exhaust. I was in a red convertible FC. I thought the driver(you) saw me, but then it was dark... Who knows. I beeped my horn several times to get the drivers attention... Nice ride !

Keith, that's the ghost FC that many people report seeing in strange and unusual places. Legend has it that it was driven by a high school football star who wrecked it on the night of the Senior Prom, it was about 7:30 PM if memory serves. He and his date, the head cheerleader were killed by a drunk driver in a riced out Honda civic. His girl friend was thrown from the car and never found, so now the quarterback drives the roads of the triangle area looking for his lost love in the ghost FC! That's why the driver never responds to those trying to get his attention. Your encounter is just one of many reported sitings of this phenomena.

The Ghost FC

Hey Greg, the ghost FC and the legend of the lost cheerleader, it would make a good country song, no?

Johny, good to hear from you. You missed one great drive-in and we missed you. Give us an update on your honey, how is she coming? Josh said if you're gonna need a ride to Deals Gap just give him a call, he just wanted you to know that he'll have room for you as long as you pack lite.

sorry I couldn't be there at the last meet. I will hopefully be able to make it to the next meeting, and hopefully have some progress updates on the Turbo II. I have all the parts in to go ahead and start putting the engine back together, I waiting for my Turbo to get here from Innovative.

Ghost FC

Bert , your Ghost FC story gave me quite a good laugh this morning. Thanks ! I think I will actually be able to attend the gathering this saturday unless 1) it rains or 2) I end up down at the beach. But most likely I'll be there.

Oh, is anyone that's going to be there interested in a brand new, never installed set of REAR Hawk HP+ pads ? I had installed the front ones but replaced them because they are very dusty. Never installed the rear ones. I'll entertain any reasonable offers or interesting trades.

No that's a true story, but it would've been better if the head cheerleader had been thrown through the windshield and was decapitated, but her head was never found. The dead quarterback and the headless head chearleader drive the roads of the Triangle searching for her lost head.

Keith, the next Drive-In is on the 26th not next Saturday. But if the weather's nice you might be able to convince several guys to show up. Between our group and the Mazda Sports Car Club of NC you should be able to find a taker on the Hawk pads. Send a PM to MacDaddy or bond007. If they don't want them they should know someone from their group that will buy them. Most of the guys in that group are dedicated road racers and auto-x'ers.

TO, missed a good one, but we didn't have any RX8s at the Char Grill. We're all anxious to hear about the FC and want to see this blue beauty when she's ready for her coming out debut.

Bert thanks for setting me straight on the date. I actually had it written in my dayplanner correctly .

MacDaddy already PM'd me about the THSCC forum. It looks like I have to be a member there, so I'll send Macdaddy my info and maybe get it posted there. I switched to the Bendix pads and now i'm not cleaning my wheels every other day !

Capn, you mean to tell me you haven't heard the story about the quarterback and headless head cheerleader? I thought everybody had heard about the ghost RX7 in the triangle.

Hey I fixed your pealing paint on your 10th AE. that blemish just couldn't be tolerated -

My car's legal now.

................the guys at the "place" (name left unsaid) used an eclipse to pass my emissions.

They didn't want to have to deal with the rotary ANY more!

Ha ha ha.

That's good stuff. No ticket for at least another year. Not for inspection, anyway.

Well against all odds, the nitrous kit has arrived. It's sitting at Steve's house right now. I'll probably go look at it this weekend and perhaps start my fuel upgrades. The GTU is going to get painted within the next week or so and after that I'm spraying.

Everyone interested in the Mazda Drivers Course at VIR check out this thread
https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showthread.php?t=395848
The June event is scheduled to run on the new extended full race course, 4+ miles instead of 3.3 miles.

Start getting your cars ready, it appears that Deals Gap will be a good trial run to prepare for the new VIR course with the extra hairpin turn and added curves. Looks like 2005 is gonna be a great year. Lets get some 8s and FDs on VIR this year.
