Now, that said I actually think the most enjoyable total experience car is the FB. But for all out fun and nastyness, the FD wins hands down.
I actually have all 3 for sale as well. The FB in current or finished form, the wifes FC in CYM, and the single turbo FD.
Dave
"the most enjoyable total experience car is the FB"
But Dave, isn't this the point? "All out fun and nastiness" is one thing, but "the most total enjoyable experience" is the one us FB drivers are talking about. For $7,000 less.
What's the deal with selling all the cars?

Ray- I have other ventures in life I want to go after. So the cars need to go. They can be replaced easily. Nobody has any money anyways, so they won't move too fast I don't think. Very reasonable pricing as well. For fear of the mods watching I won't put prices. Any interested parties can PM me.
I also have a bare FD shell with minor body damage that was being slated for track car duty. It has some various parts I aquired for it.

Eh, my FB ruined my FD for me. I would typically take the FB out over the FD. I was just too paranoid with that car I think. I regret not driving it more, but oh well. But the FD was an amazing car. I think it was the most reliable car I ever owned. And it was a beast even in stock form. And as a bonus, I didn't smell like gasoline after driving it.
How's the Phoenix project coming anyway? I sure want to see that copper paint restored!
Dave, are you getting into politics or something? I mean, what venture in life could be more important than owning and regularly driving all three generations of RX-7?
Can we hope to see you at the Mitty?

HAha! Strut covers would be a nice addition.
The FB is in primer awaiting time to block sand and re-prime before paint. Then I need to replace or build a wiring harness and fix all the crispy hoses and such. Pretty much everything in the enginebay needs replacing. Going to be some time on that one.
I will be at the Mitty in something Rx I am sure. Probably the FD since it is fun

What happend to the rear loveurs or however you spell those...? And do those 17's have like 35 series sidewalls or something? lol.
I think back before the fire Dave was planning to chrome his upper strut mounts to highlight their essential beauty and appeal.
Most people who put those tacky plastic 2nd gen strut covers on their FB strut towers are trying to cover up rust, stripped nuts and that kind of stuff.
I'm trying to like those 17" wheels Alex but it's hard. Why does that look work with the FD's, whereas X wheels make the FB's?

GSL-SE YA!!!

I think the problem with the 17's is all that fender gap. that wheel has a 205/40 tire on it compared to the 195/55 in the front. I bet it would look better with like a 55 or 60 but i would rather stick with my 15's. I would even go with a 13" wheel if they would fit.
Bigger wheels do seem to work well with the FD, I wonder what 13" would look like on a 3rd gen lol.

Now Ray, I know this is hard for you to accept, but part of the reason Mazda released the FC was so we would have parts to back port to the FB (think strut tower covers, DFI, FMOC, etc.).
DFI, FMOC, yes. Even 13B's work in FB's. Witness the SE, especially ones retrofitted with carbs.
But cheezy plastic 2nd gen strut tower covers? No way.
I mean, would you put an FC nose on an FB?

Touché Mike.
I didn't know they were rubber. That does make them a little more respectable. Still not something I'd have in the Silver One. She is sensitive about that kind of stuff.
Hey, how do you do that bold stuff anyway?
I'm still having trouble getting that dashy thing over the e's to come out on my French words. I'm completely clueless about the bold.
And while you are at it could you make the OGTA card sig come back at the bottom of my posts?
Doc axed mine back when he was mod and I never could figure out how to get it back.

SIGPIC. Once you do that you can refer to in your signature. I sent Mike a PM about
how to do it, I'll forward it on to you as well.

I finally got around to getting some work done on the 'vert. I'm hoping that I will have to drive it sometime next week and maybe into the week after while the other FC is getting fixed. On the new FC, I'll have the body damage completely fixed, the drivers side quarter panel, roof, drivers side door, a spare set of S5 mirrors. and the rear area below the hatch all repainted.
I put a T2 hood on the 'vert and worked on the rear end. Tomorrow I'm swapping on an E-fan and installing a fuel-pump cut off switch to help with the flooding issue. Also putting in a different set of seats and tying up the ghetto exhaust (which will eventually be replaced with the original exhaust on my first FC).
Before the work:
After about 4 hours of work today.
Hopefully it will look a little better once it's washed... I'm hoping that will make the paint around the rear bumper match better
