Jeez Collin, when you said you had an announcement to make, I thought you were getting married. I'm disappointed.

Can't you race Maxine at Taledega? They must have a Maxi-Pad class.

And yes, taking Maxine to Vermont is a good idea, standard transmissions are much more socially acceptable up there.

But I thought you had decided to stay in Georgia, where the winters are warm, the summers full of rotary events and people don't complain all the time about what the rest of the country is doing (like they do in Vermont). What gives?

Dude you could have bought the parts, had the car towed to my house, and I could have had your clutch hydraulics completely replaced in like 20 minutes lol

Ray, I could race Maxine at L.T., but I would hate to embarrass 90% of the RX-7s on the track that day... Including yours.

You little bitch

If things don't work out with getting my motor swapped, we could try to work something out with my track time if Billy is alright with it. You could take my spot, or maybe I could do a run in your car and you have the rest, something like that. You could pay me a little and get a deal. Once again, if it's cool with Billy. But...

Hopefully this motor from Mark with Billy's old REPU works out. I'm going to see it this weekend or next week, hopefully have it by mid/ late June, swap it in by the first week of July, and have it tweaked 2 weeks prior to ZF. Money's a little short though, so I'm not entirely sure how everything will work out. I can't justify borrowing money to get the FC running, especially from someone who knows what happened the last time I swapped motors in it. Anywho, night fella's.

I agree, the turbo sounds great. However... I'd like to point out that only jackholes haul a$$ in residential neighborhoods..

Jeez Mike, when I first saw that video I thought that was your neighborhood and you had done some mods to the Blue One you hadn't told me about. Looks just like Dean Rd. I was going to have a talk with you about the speeding stuff tomorrow at lunch, I was worried the rotary fumes were getting to you and affecting your judgment.

Anybody looking for a Targa? Here's one on ebay.

Billy is this what you used on the Rx3, Front Coil Over Kit [RE-55-000] ? Do you use the stock RX3 strut housing with the coil over kit? I assume if so you use these (Tokico Shock Spacer Kit) as well which works with the 81-85 RX7 strut inserts? Are RX3 Tokico inserts available or only the 1st gen 7's?

Yep, our standard race coil over will work for Rx3. The only inserts available for the Rx3 are Koni from Classic Garage. Most say they have sat on a shelf to long and will not last but a few miles. Then Koni will not warranty them. That is why we developed the shock spacers to use the Rx7 inserts.

I guess the Tokico is the way to go. I will let you know when I am ready. I have to get it to the body shop first. Are these in stock or is this stuff made to order?

A+ on the speeding through town Dan. Better to take it out on I85.

What not to do with your 12A:

Voted on it Ray. The headlights up makes the coefficient of friction go up to .38
or something from the low 30s so I'm sure theres an effect. Whats that new
tool of yours look like anyway? Did you get an implant or what?

ya know, the funny thing about this photo is it reminds me of everyone that said the same thing about Elizabeth's wing on the FC. Now years later, those SAME people regularly email me to get info on where I got it and how much it was. Haters hate what they can't have!!

On my way home from work yesterday, after we had lunch. I was cruising down 85 and a little bored, coming in and out of rain storms (headlights up, headlights down). So I figured this would be a great time to collect some data to see if putting the headlights up really does slow you down a little.

My preliminary data indicates that indeed it does.

You're joking about the Road Runner tail on that FB, right Dave?

What are the chances there is a small ding on the roof where the arrow is pointing and some 80's square speakers on the back deck?

Hmmm. I thought this was joke. I guess when you drive muscle cars, like 1st gen RX-7s, a little bit of drag can make a difference. I'll have to try this and vote.

There is not a ding where you are pointing to but there is one where the black arrow is. There are some 80's rectangular speakers in the rear package tray. I am sure that you know this car! I just got back home with it. Pittman says hello.
