Aren't those things extremely rare? This one was not restored, old black paint and some of the chrome missing, but the body looked to be in great shape. It looked like it was being used as a daily driver by the guy, who was maybe in his fifty's, on the way to the grocery. I wonder if he knows what he's got?
That is a 59 or 60 vette can't tell right off non running but restoreable cars run in the high teens to low twenties crappy bodies on complete cars are in the low teens nice drivers are mid twenties to forties, restored and resto-mods are forties to 150 or better and of course those prices are all thousands

Got a guy up the street (his shop is doing some glass work for me) he and his shop are one of the primo builders for this generation vette, completely re-engineered chassis using late model vette suspension and engines but you would never know it unless you pop the hood. Met him at a car show he was heavily admiring Billy's work on the widebody. He was very impressed with the work done to her.

I'd like to meet that old dude in the black late '50's vette I saw down town, beautiful unpretentious car and that guy looked like he was very happy in his old black vette.

Alex I have that overfill bottle cap, will bring to the next OGTA if you are coming. Do you need the connector hose to the radiator too?

So apparently, my American Government teacher finds it completely appropriate to continue canceling class or coming late. I fully understand that you get sick, your kids get sick, your husband needs surgery, etc... But considering it is the earliest class Gainesville offers... don't you think it would be nice if you would take a few moments to hold off on puking yet again and send out the email that class is canceled the night before? Doesn't that sound reasonable? I mean, she knows full and well that certain people, such as myself, drive anywhere from 45 minutes to 1 1/2 hours to get to her class in the morning, and considering the fact that these students have other classes later in the morning/day, maybe she should try and give more notice so we can sleep and be lazy.

Seriously, end of story.

Yep, life sucks and then you die.

I've been teaching for twenty years and I have never missed a class or even, rarely, been more than a minute or two late. It's all about responsibility to your students. That teacher needs her priorities adjusted (fired).

Still thinking about that 'vette..., what a pretty little thing.

If I wasn't moving, I'd seriously consider that. It looks pretty decent for $800. Decent paint, decent wheels, decent interior. Wonder how it runs?

Hey, not too bad from the looks of it. I think if it runs without leaving an oil trail then it's a good deal. And if you happen to have a Z bumper to offer in exchange, the guy might knock off a little more!

Man, I scrubbed Maxine's floor mats today.

Strangely, I walked into my Psychology class today and this guy at the back of the class was like: Hey! You scratched 'Maxine' into the hood of your car!" And I was like... yeah...what's your point? He replied: "I parked in front of you this morning!"

Wow... okay.. um..

I am needing to replace my mounts still, but dreading having to drop the gearbox (in Wanda). Maybe someone wants to come down to be an extra set of hands to make it go quicker? I'd ask my boyfriend, but it's hard enough just to have us both have time to see eachother right now, so... I'm off Friday and Saturday...who wants some?!

Did you really scratch that into your perfectly good hood? Or is it vinyl or paint or something?

You can ask Kristy...

We were at Sutherlin, and I was bored standing in front of Maxine... so I took my fingernail and scratched her name into the hood. Who gives a ****? That paint isn't able to be saved... even if it was, using a heavy cut and polishing it all out would completely irradicate those scratches.

This is one you should take up with the Dean of the department or someone over in the Administration bldg if its a recurring problem.

YOU and your classmates are paying this teacher's salary, after all ...she works for YOU.

I have seen half a class go to the Admin building to complain about their instructor and believe me, it gets results.

The REPU and I burned another OGTA card today. I ran across an 82 or 83 GSL with SE suspension in Suwanee. Hopefully he pipes up.
