Old guys with 12As club meeting
Michael Crit gave me instructions on the jack handle, we'll give it a try this weekend.
11-03-09 OGTA meeting report:
There was a full moon.
Here’s the 12A count:
2 SAs = 3 12A’s (New guy Russ, Andy)
1 REPU = 2 12A’s (Crit)
6 FB’s = 6 12A’s (Greg the Elder, Geraldo, Chris, Ben, Juno, Ray)
1 FC (Collin) = 0.5 12A’s
1 FE (Kevin aka Trip) = 0.16 12A’s
4 boingers = 0 12A’s (Billy, Holly, Cristy, Gene)
Total 12A’s = 11.66, a good group.
Here’s the pics:
New Guy Russ and his very pretty 79 SA (Russ has owned and raced many old school rotaries; he also currently owns a silver ’93 FD which he promises to bring to a future meet. I’ll get a better photo of him then)

Crit and his newly refinished REPU fenders

Ben’s FB

Juno’s FB(SE)

Collin’s FC and Trip’s FE

Chris and his new Sexy Pants II (still needs work)

It's ok, the 8 is still sexy none the less. I am just glad I could make it to this meet at all lol. I know the car is pretty dirty, and I promise I will be addressing that soon.
Hey Dudes, a walk down Memory Lane:

Copy and print out the page below on card stock, cut out the cards and put them on the windshields of any FB's or old schools you see in your area. Also tell friends about it.

Then plan an OGTA meeting for the first Tuesday of each month at a local restaurant that will appreciate your business. Go to the meeting and take lots of pictures, which you should post here on the OGTA post as part of our regular monthly get together, creating a "Virtual OGTA" group. You should also start an OGTA thread for your own West Forum, we will post our pictures there as well.
Keep doing this every month even if only three cars show up, as happened for our meetings for the first year or so. The most important thing is to make it regular and take lots of pictures of the cars and rotor heads. Remember a picture is worth a thousand words and a movie is worth a million. And rotor heads like looking at themselves and at their cars.
You and your chapter will then be official OGTA members.

Ahh, Ray beat me to it.
So far, the only satellite chapter is in Pennsylvania. If you want to start an OGTA chapter in Cali, that would be a great thing.

Here's the Mary Norwood scene in front of the 7 that Holly mentioned, she's a middle aged red FC that looks a lot like Collin's did before he painted it blue. The car is at the -4:20 minutes mark, when she gets pissed off about racists.

Quad, way to go. I've been silently pulling for you to get something running...
Looks like it was another great OGTA meet. I went to DC and came back with a cold. I think there is a lesson here for me... Don't miss OGTA meets.
And now we are expanding with chapters around the universe. Way to go Blue.

I can possibly drive to someone who would be willing to help tune my Holley tomorrow. I might call Crit, since I gotta head out that way anyways. Got some returns to be doing at Mall of Georgia...
