Ray, I will ask if there are any extras of the poster.
AND, I don't think we want to be doing any rattle can painting in the parking lot. I see liabilities there. We could possibly get overspray on our cars, or someone's in the parking lot. Plus, I wouldn't think you could spray toxic stuff in a public parking lot. PLUS, the Suwanee Police stopped by at then end of our meet on Tuesday night. There were a few of us still there around 10:30PM. He didn't seem too nice with his questions and was asking Kevin about emissions. Kevin said he lived in Hall County, which the officer could plainly see on Kevin's tags, as the *** of Kevin's car was in his face. , But we were chill and we weren't doing anything but looking under Jeremy's hood. Kevin (Ace) had his car started and Tim had the Lotus started to warm up. Anyway, better save the painting on private property. Maybe at Kevin's (Ace) house, for his going away party.

Wow. Today was awful. Got the SE back, drove it home, then was planning on going to the pool. First I made what I thought would be a quick stop at O'Reilly Auto to get an air filter for it (the old one melted in the box), and was going to be on my way.
Wrong.....
O'Reilly nor NAPA had the filter, but when I got in the car to zoom zoom away, it wouldn't start. Again. I tried everything from pulling the plugs and de-flooding, pulling the EGI fuse and de-flooding, checking the plugs to make sure they were sparking, buying starter fluid to give it a kick in the *********, and nothing was working.
Called Mazcare, they basically told me "I told ya so" (they wanted to keep the car a bit longer, but I thought they were just trying to suck more money), but were real cool in helping me. They told me to get an oil can, and some ATF, and inject it into a vacuum line near the intake.
Did that, and now I'm safely home, but the SE will be back at Mazcare within 24 hours for more repairs.
I think I want to cry...
Also, quick question. I bought 4 spark plugs from O'Reilly Auto earlier, and according to Charlie at Mazcare, the heat rating was too low. He says I need 9, but all I can seem to find are 8's.

Sorry to hear about the continuing problems with the SE Quad, although if you are an optimist like me you have to like that solution the Mazcare folks gave you - inject the vacuum line with ATF. Almost worth the price of admission. Since you've already got them involved and they know the situation, I'd give them a chance to get it right and take full responsibility. They should treat you right, after all they want you for a customer in the future.
Holly how about if we use poster paints and a paint brush for the hoods? If the cop shows up we can tell him we're doing free face paintings this month if he wants one.
I got dibs on the first Mazda poster that comes along!

And Ray, that ATF solution is pure gold. That's how I plan on getting it started to get it back to Mazcare if the need be.
Hopefully she'll just fire right up though.
This time Mazcare can have her until she's firing on all cylinders....I mean...rotors.
We really need to change that phrase.
And as for painting, we'd need either Rustoleum cans, or high quality paint to get it to stick well. Poster paint is garbage. (I used to be into Graffiti, I know all about marking odd surfaces, yet I was never good at it, so don't expect any cool designs from me)

It's 25 years for emissions, along with titles. After 25 years, no emissions, and only a bill of sale needed for a purchase.

Well Ace started off by telling the Officer something like his exhaust was stinking it up. Then when the Officer mentioned emissions, Ace told him that he lived in Hall County (which doesn't have emissions), then the Officer said this was Gwinnett County, which we all knew. The Officer tried to indicate that it was illegal to not pass emissions. I don't understand, if your car is legally registered in a county without emissions, how in the hell does driving into another county make it illegal?

^The point is that he lives in a non-emissions county so he can freely travel anywhere no matter what. Going to Gwinnett doesn't mean his car needs or should pass.

Well yeah.... I just don't understand why the Officer event went there, after he knew it was Hall County. But then Officer say crazy crap just to see if you will slip up.

As a practical matter, I think you guys are right, if you live in an area without emissions you are exempt from the inspection and "exempt from emissions". However as a matter of the law, any modifications to any vehicle that alters the stock emission set up before the cat back system is a violation, no matter how old the car is.
The Suwanee police have been pretty cooperative with us for more than two years, there is no reason this little incident should change this. Let's be nice to the officers guys, they are here to serve and protect us!

I agree Roland, there are some bad apples and even some really bad apples. But there's nothing we can do about that, short of getting arrested and then suing them for false arrest (but I'm not personally interested in testing and fixing the system myself). What we can do is cooperate with the majority of officers who really are decent folk trying to do their jobs.
I mean, you got Holly, Tim, Jeremy and Ace hanging out in a parking lot around a bunch of expensive sports cars, popping hoods and stuff. Wouldn't you be suspicious?
And definitely ditto on the Racing Beat systems, they sure look like cats to me.
