According to the OGTA Brain Trust, it was decided that the Gwinnett County caravan will be leaving shortly after 9AM on Saturday from the Jeffery's parking lot.
Hope you all can make it by then or join in on the way up.

I really dont care where we meet as long as its at least Jefferies or north of there. If its at the Cracker Barrel on Road Atlanta Exit Id think that is a good location too.
Zach, I have a spare bedroom with a futon that is all yours.

Kent, you've done more than enough. I think you're set. Zach, of course you can cook it there. We'll fire up the grill around noon with lunch around 2. Leftovers will make for good dinner food for those of us staying over, and Dena's got something planned for breakfast, even.
Let me take this opportunity to make a gratuitous request for an SA 5-spd. If anyone has one, PM me so we can make a deal, as the lakehouse is a great chance for me to hook up with the out-of-staters. Andy and I spent the day swapping around parts trying to piece together a good SA gearbox, and we're still out of luck.
And yeah, Zach, it looks like we're ahead of the curve on food. Maybe we should shift focus to B E E R !!!!

Ok, I'm going to speak:
I don't see the need to meet up at Jeffrey's in Suwanee. Just get on I-85N and meet up at Cracker Barrel off of Exit 129. Everyone south of there is going to pass by there eventually anyway. Meet at 9:30AM and leave at 10:00AM at the latest.
Then, I think we should stop in Commerce at the outlet exit. Turn right go up the hill to the Wal-mart on the left. That way, if anyone needs to pick up beer, ice, anything else, we can get it there. And, Ray, Collin and others north of Exit 129 can go straight to the Commerce Exit, instead of driving south to go north. We should be at the Walmart around 10:30AM, then leave no later than 11:00AM.
Oh Crit, you may need to post the map to the lake house again, for those of us who don't remember the turns and need to get directions.
Sound like a plan?

The map to the house can be found HERE.
I'll stay away from the caravan discussion as I'll already be up there, but it sounds like Holly's got a plan. If y'all decide to just drive up on your own, please just remember to slow down for the last turn and remember that when the road goes from black asphalt to old grey asphalt, it's time to turn right onto Harbor Point. It's easy to miss, especially wthout a caravan of cars.

Ray - not sure yet, but I'll try to earn my keep.
Brett (BrettLinton7)- Drinks for us children, if work allows the time off
Holly (ROTORX7Holly) - Baked Bean Quintet or chocolate dessert & vino
Kent and Micki (gsl-se addict) - dessert, drinks, plates (maybe some other stuff..see what will work with travel)

BTW, I vote for Holly's idea. If anyone wants some Starbucks from my store (Commerce Exit, by Wal-Mart), I can extend my Partner (30%) discount.
Crit, tell Dena I would love to bring Dot so she could mingle with Sophie but I'm not so sure my mom will let me take her...

Collin, I'll ask Dena about Dot. Interesting side note, Friday will be Sophie's first-ever ride in a truck. Dena's coming straight from work in Gainesville, so I'm driving the pooch in the REPU. I think she'll dig the vent windows.

Hanging out under the overpasses on the highway is against the law (I guess the police feel like they own the place). If they catch more than one FB congregating under there they will surely haul our assess to jail, especially if it's in the Pendergrass section of 85.
I'm with Crit, I'm not going to join the great Caravan debate. Holly has spoken, whatever she said I'm gonna do, I'll read her post on Saturday morning and follow the instructions.

Now, we just have to see if we can get the NC guys to decide on a meeting place/time.
I am trying to decide between driving to Charlotte tomorrow night and going on from there or just leave REALLY early on saturday morning and hitting it in one run. We are planning to go to the SC beach Sunday and part of Monday. Also, I have a rotorhead in NC that needs some help on Monday night with his TII swap on our way home.
Last year we did a 1200 mile loop when we came down for thr OGTA/OSJC meet. This year, it is looking like a 1100 mile loop.
I checked the weather for Saturday. Looks like it is going to be hot and sunny (about 95 degrees).
