OGTA SE-Regional Lakehouse Meet

It's time again for the OGTA Crossroads extended-family Lakehouse Meet. For those that are unfamiliar, we'll be on Lake Hartwell on the GA/SC border at I-85. We'll be meeting up on Saturday, Aug 8th (and 9th for the road-trippers and inebriated). I'll be up and working (cutting the grass) by 9am, folks are expected to arrive up until 1pm or so, and lunch should be served around 2pm. Then again, you're not just coming for the food, are you? Show up early and get started on the beer.

A map from the interstate can be found HERE. Figure on 15-20 minutes on top of whatever your travel time is to the border. Keep in mind, too, that the last turn is a little tricky. When the road surface changes from nice to crappy, you need to stand on the brakes if you haven't already, then make the right into Harbor Point.

This is a BYOCB meet (Bring your own Communal Beer) and we'd like to have a list of who's coming and what they may be able to bring for lunch. We've got a new and improved pontoon boat vs. last year, a full-size sit-down 4-stroke jetski that may or may not be ready, and plenty of room on the back porch for everyone. Parking will be in the front yard.

We'll probably need:
Burgers x2
Burger Buns
Hot Dogs x2
Hot Dot Buns
Chips x2
2-liter drinks x3
Plates
Plastic forks, spoons, cups

and I'm sure lots of other stuff. If anyone microbrews at home, that counts as a food :). That said, let's start the list.

Im from Toronto but will be vacationing in Hartwell that week, was wondering if I could stop by always like to check out fellow rx7 followers rides.. and ill bring some beer!

Yeah the frat penalties are usually quite severe. Still Colin, what's more important, a fraternity of geeks or a fraternity of rotor heads? (hint: our tactics are more civilized)

I think Holly is on to something there, I definitely should have stayed over last year. On the way home I ended up in NC before getting the car turned around in the right direction.

I'm sorry to say I have to miss this years event. I was really looking
forward to it and my wife Tina even was making noises about coming
down with me. Unfortunately August has turned quite busy with work
and all, so I have to bag it this year.

I'm sure Dave and Stu will represent the xroads well.

Ray maybe my beer caused your excursion into NC territory.
