Lol. I got a New 12a.

Like NEW new. No rebuild. No reman. NEW.


Or so the guy says. I am thinking it was a rebuild, so I am returning it tomorrow. If anyone wants a hella nice 12a, let me know.

 

Stu. I hate to say this, but I'm thinking reman. If you look at the engine closely, a few things don't add up. You have a SA front cover. FB center iron. SA rear iron. So.........I don't know what to tell you.

 

it might have new parts... but it's not a new engine

 

Well, on a lighter note. I took some pics of my slightly cleaner engine bay. I still need to do some scrubbing, but at least the wiring looks alot neater.

Oh and yeah, its a rebuild. Kinda peeved this guy told me it was brand new in a mazda stamped crate. Turns out it had no crate, was rebuild, and NOT rebuilt by mazda.

How do I make that angry face??

Oh well. I guess I will change my plans and go turbo...

Sorry to hear about you selling it. I would love to add that one to my stable, but I couldn't convince the wife that I need three RX7s . I wish that there was some way that you could keep it. I know how hard it is to let something go that you put that much work, time, and money in. Anyway, good luck with the sale.

 

thanks man. I think it'll take a while to sell, and who knows, something might change in that time. I'm not sure how I'm going to let it go.

I'm going to make the most out of the meets while I have it. The next one, I'll make sure to have enough time to go on the drive afterwards. Hopefully it won't be so damn windy and cold.

 

What a beautiful day to go to pullapart and get free parts! Man I love that place. Those two FCs down there are getting picked over good but they both have the motors in them amazingly.

I went down there in search of some temp switches and I found some from a couple of Ford Taurus that may work for my project. Anyway, as I was walking out the girl at the counter was busy talking to other dudes and she just let me have those sensors for free.

Ok, they cost me buck and I'm not sure they will do the trick but for a buck its worth finding out.
