Hey guys, sorry I missed the meet. I was out of town in Ft Lauderdale Fl. unfortuneately while there i got bad news from Andre. apparently whoever was stealing parts from Jakes house (where my rx7 was) got to me. they stole my brand new, never installed clutch kit. im flippin pissed. the car is now with Andre and im gonna start getting back to work on it.
Btw, when is the next meet? July 10th?

WELL........ I FINISHED MY BOOSTED FIRST GEN PROJECT TODAY...... ME AND SAM SPENT ALOT OF TIME GETTING HER DIALED IN, AND SHE RAN LIKE A RAPPED APE........ UNTIL I SPLIT A (BLEP) REAR IRON!!!!!! SO YOU CAN SAY IM IN A FUNKY PLACE RIGHT NOW. WHAT I BELIVE TO HAPPENED...... the blow off valve vac line came off and when i came to a stop after a brief boost up, the blow off valve shoved excess boost into the engine.... and that's the start and demise of the rear iron. At 8lbs of boost, I dont see boost being the culprit. Even me and sam belive that even if it was detonation, it would have taken out an apex seal first...... so I guess the rx will be brapping and boosting this weekend. Im so glad I have a spare engine, THANKS LONG!!!!!!!! And many thanks to Sam for all of his help today, without his insite on this very dim subject, I wouldn't have even had a clue of what to do in this field. So once again, Thanks Sam. So..... anyone feel like swapping an engine this weekend? LOL if anyone is bored this weekend, give me a call or send me a message.
Hey guys im finally rebuilding the carb on dad's car right now and when I pulled it apart I found that one of the check ***** seems to be missing? when i turned over the body of the carb a check ball and a cylinder looking thing came out, really small, im guessin it was on top of the check ball, anyone have input on this?
If you get a GP Sorenson kit, it comes with a nice exploded drawing of the carb with everything labled.
Long, I hope the modded manifold will be the ticket for you. That GT35R looks sick sitting on it

ooh yea there was a drift competition, where they put a black briged TII fc, vs blue a LS1 fc. oh the TII got 2nd place, the LS went....no where he didnt make it to anything, take that LS1!!!!! hahaha
Ok so I got the carb back together and on and found out my problem was a missing accelerator pump return spring. the accelerator pump works fine now! (yay) but I seem to only be firing on one rotor at idle, but it will still rev? and if i keep rpm's up for a bit then the front rotor exhaust pipe starts glowing red (lean?) could that be due to float levels possibly? and does anyone know what the levels are supposed to be set at?
Okay. I think that this has to be the first time that I have ever seen a periphial port done this way. Very interested on how well it actually performs. https://www.rx7club.com/nw-rx-7-forum-33/12a-ppp-rebuild-959915/
