I77 & I40 Crossroads rotary meet
sup guys. check out what i got to play with today.
this buddy of mine, bill, bought an 85 gs and has been driving it for like 3wks or so. he started having this squeaking noise along with it being hard to go into gear. he dropped if off last sun but with all the rain i haven't been able to do anything til today. i had done some diagnosing the day he dropped it off and had come to the conclusion the pilot bearing was the problem. first pix are what i found after getting the tranny out. the rest are of the car. i had him sign up but with the way he works he can't get time to get on here and get his post to get access to the more important parts of the board. if only there was something i could do so he could actually see all the links i send him. anyway, just wanted to share bout my day.

i don't follow the cycling industry so i wasn't aware buell was made by harley. anyway, the car's in pretty good shape and runs really well, starts right up. i took a shot of the exhaust to show whether or not it's running too lean or not. with over 200k showing on the odo, i can't believe that it has that much on the engine as well as it runs. but it has had a driver fender put on it as u can plainly tell. of all the stock 12as i've had, this is the only one that absolutely will not start without the choke when cold.
So no one wants to do the B3R this weekend from Xroads?
Got a live video feed for the cruise https://www.rx7club.com/showpost.php...1&postcount=45
I'll be the only SA there or 1st gen for that matter. Hope my cars up to the task.

How much are they charging you for the rebuild? I can still get the complete rebuild kits.

It's the stage 1, so he upgrades the compressor wheel to a to4b v-trim, ports the wastegate to 34mm, as well as throws in a 270 degree thrust bearing with the rebuild. Their good for about 315 to the wheels at 15psi, but i'm only plannin on runnin 10 for awhile.
lol no its not fresh. about 1100 miles on it. ant, ill probably put one on it on the next build. i dont trust 3 piece seals for boost. this one was kind of an emergency rebuild.
