I have never understood why this is a "must have" mod. Can anyone explain it well? Is it for the backup belt? I have no issues with any of my vehicles and they all have single belt pullies. Just curious. Data proof to back up claims would be sweet as well if possible.

Andre, As soon as I get a check from the customer and the order recieved, I will return the actuator that i borrowed.

Dave I went to the dual pulleys on my 80 SA stock port 12A because after I removed the air pump and air conditioning and installed the Dellorto and RE header/exhaust setup the single belt driving the waterpump and alternator would squeel a lot whenver I got on it. The amount of tension I needed to apply to fix it was too much on the alternator and I ended up having to have it rebuilt so I got the RB dual pulleys and slapped em on and have been fine ever since. They are underdrive though so it slightly affects the cooling at idle but thats never been an issue.

tim the dual pulley I have arent underdriven at all they are the exact same as the one I removed. I messured down to the groove and all, and there is no diffrence except its a dual. i know the ones that racing beat sale are underdriven because they say its for 9500rpm and up applications so you wont burn up your alt. but yeah at high rpms dave my dash would light up like a christmas tree like if my belt snapped. and she would get a little warm during meet runs. now she registers flawless all the way through the top of my revs and she never climbs over half on the temp gauge now. and it looks better. lol

Im not just sell honda parts now guys!
One belt snaps on a dual set up, very good chance both goes. Then you either have to put a new belt on when on the side of the road (if you carry one) or get towed/picked up.

The yoohoo belt doesn't care if you blow up the alternator belt, it will keep running. Ask me how I know

I had the RB dual pulleys on my SA and hated them. I ended up going back to single setup. My underdrive on regular driving on the interestate in the summer and being stuck in traffic on 77 sucked. I would run SUPER hot. just my 2 cents

But for the record all the cool kids are doing it so why not?

see thats the problem the RB pulley is an underdrive. the one i have here is the exact to the original two piece that came on my car from the factory. this is a chance to get something nobody seems to offer. a stock sized dual pulley for the first and second gen alts. and for future reffrence I am also working on one for the FD alts that also will not underdrive. I dont like the words underdrive when im talking electrical systems unless im turning 10,000 rpms.

I love those videos. Watch them all the time. That was the "old" track layout with the "gravity cavity" where 10 A and B are currently. Then leading into 11 and 12. great stuff. Alot different than the current layout.

yes Rd. Atlanta was a lot more fune before they cut its "*****" off and eliminated the big dip in the back straight- I took 3rd there at the '95 ARRC (American Road Racing Championship) in a GSL-SE- (the car was considered uncompetetive against the "Z" cars)

mmmmm... see i need to stop painting stuff outside. everytime i paint something it either rains or a f"cking cat decides to take a walk over my car as a shortcut. GRRRRRRR!!!!! oh well it looks better now that it is black instead of red comming thru. nonthing a little water sanding cant fix. I had a little rupture at the gas station a bit ago. i was talking to a bud and the 7 started revving higher so i went to shut her off and she started to overheat and coolent was pooring out on the ground. i let her set and i went and got the S10 out of hibernation. i hope its just a hose or something. or do I ............... hehehe. I am gonna store her for the winter..........
