Dang......I hate to hear that. I just received a letter in the mail from Freightliner asking me to come back to work on the 18th. I don't know wheather to be happy or mad right now. The chances of me going back to first is slim to none. Sucks I worked there over 7 years just to get to first shift. What sucked more was the almost 11 years I have in there when they laid me off. O'well, it's a job. If I refuse to return there, my uninployment would stop. Damn'd if you do........Damn'd if you don't...........

Hey Anthony, I just got done reassembleing the engine. I fixed the oil metering line leak by pulling the plastic tubeing off and welding the nipple on the fitting closed. Then put the fitting with the stock bolt back onto the OMP Should be fine

Also before you go and grab that coil if it is still there, I found something tonight that may be the idle issue. you TPS wires were taped.,, so I never like seeing tape where it shouldn't be and unwrapped it...All 3 wires were wrapped individually BUT they were not insulated individually. Which resulted in all of themn touching bare wire I resoldered the wires and taped them off seperately. I'll try it in a couple more hours,..The neighbors wouldn't much dig it starting at 4:20AM.

Hit me up whenever you want to come by tomorrow. I should be done with registering the FB by noonish I would hope.

Thats kind of good news. Just go back and keep lookin'. You owe them as much loyalty as they owe you at this point. Think of it as getting paid to look for another job!

I'm planning on making the meet Sunday but I may be late. I'll call if I'm not coming at all.

I have 1 and a half more. The 1 I have is slightly bent on the metal part, all you have to do is straighten it a bit, no problems. The other one works, but I snipped too much of the metal off the ends so it is kinda short.

Let me know if you want my spare. It took me 5 minutes to do. Note to self, check to make sure you have the contacts touching before reassembly

Also, Bump for a slow day. I got my hair cut too.

Hey Dave and Sam. I've been lookin a little into these efans and I don't think the 2nd gen alternators are strong enough to handle it, specially if u have a subwoofer. I'm wondering if Dave and I should wait to install them until we have fd alternators? watcha think?

I don't have a sub, but a HU and 4 speakers, plus the E-Fan, seems to hold up fine for me. I can see how the sub would draw TONS of power though. FD alternators FTW, What are they rated at, 110?

Anthony, you are running a TII alt right? No problem with the e-fan. Dave, I have a S-4 alt that will put out more than the S-2. The Taurus e-fan will not be too much on low. A 25-30 amp relay will be fine. You can run it on ignition, or get a thermostat control.

Welcome to our newest member Doug. First post......Right here. Meet is Sunday at 1pm. Hope to see you there

swap meet, too, right?

I saw in some previous posts that people trade/sell parts. Anyone got a power antenna relay for an aftermarket stereo? All I have for trade is a pair of original ragged out seats. lol

nice, i raced some guy in an eclipse and beat him (it was an automatic or else i don't think i could have won lol) but we pulled over and he goes "what size engine you got in that thing" so i said "1.2" he gave me a funny look and then goes "well it's a two seater so its light and you probably gutted it" (just trying to come up with excuses) i just got in my car and left after he started telling me about his stock saturn sc2 which obviously weights 1000lbs from the factory..including him.....

Sweet burnout Josh. As far as "swapmeet", we usually post here what we are looking for, or want to sell and then bring it to the meet if someone is interested. Looking forward to tommorow. I was really wanting to bring the Turbo FB, but the half-bridge SA is running o-so-sweet right now. I ditched the 1 inch carb spacer and it runs so much smoother now. It even busted off the first time today without having to deflood it. Depends on what mood I'm in tommorow Sucks having to decide between the two..........

Haha, No problem Stu.

I cranked up the FB tonight Flooded it once due to haveing switched too many wires around I had the firing all jacked! Straightened that out and bang! big backfire of unburnt fuel and the vroom!! Revs smooth. Still has the lean bogg when the throttle is stabbed from the idle. I will work on tunig that out.

After I got it running on the stock coil set-up I re-attached the 2nd gen coil and moved the other wires as needed. Started quicker it seemed to me. Couold just be that it was warm then.

Couldn't get it registered as Both Elizabeth and I need to be there together.. Next time

See ya tomorow.

I am planning a BBQ to celebrate Elizabeth completing the NC BAr exams Tentative date is next Sunday or the following. We can vote tomorrow if anyone else wants to come.
