Well, my engine is now in rotary Heaven (or hell). Overpressurized cooling system.. i.e., combustion gasses getting in via possible O-ring failure.

Thanks. Since you've removed and installed the engine at least twice, I'm sure I'll be asking you a few questions.

Reliability mods (AST, boost gauge, coolant temp gauge, midpipe, vac lines, nice big radiator). Otherwise, leave it stock.

I think that should be downpipe rather than midpipe...

Wink

the best mod is the "Give it to me" mod. It's absolutely free and it saves you a lot of money on gas, tires, and vacuum hoses

Yea, no problem. I still haven't gotten around to cleaning up my garage and putting tools away yet... still recovering from that 72hr motor swap. When you're ready let me know.

heh, you haven't seen our garage... even if you can fit 3.5 cars abreast in it. Having a Basket Case MGB, a TR6, the frame to an old ford, the body to an old ford (on opposite sides of the garage), all the seats to any of the british cars, sand blasting cabinent, arbor press, oven, several RX-7 engine cores, parts warsher, and half an RX-7 make for a pretty crowded garage. I'll have to put up some pics of the mayhem when the family camera comes back from my little brother's baseball tournament in georgia.

Huntsville Meeting

Anyone interested in having a huntsville meet at some place like Big Ed's the first week of august? I'm moving down to birmingham for school on the 9th so it would be cool to put faces to names, other than the few I've seen run out to AutoX or already know

last week of the month is good. Anyone have any particulars about the day? I was thinking thursday?

Don, come 7 or not, or else.

[edit]
Evan,
I can give you a buffing lesson, or do it for you. I've buffed out a couple cars (the turboFB more than once) And I'm thinking I'm pretty good at it. But it's a bitch for labor so If you want me to do it I might have to charge cash or a turn at the wheel of a FD (not responsible for excessive tirewear or blown apexseals etc )...
