wednesday is good too. Anyone have any problems with that? how about 7pm?

then it would be

Wednesday July 27th
Big Ed's pizzaria (off Clinton Ave)
7pm

post up if you can or can't make it, If we get enough attendance to reserve more than one table then I'll them on monday and get them to push a couple tables together

If this is decently successful we could start doing a montly meeting (hopefully on a weekend so I can make it from the 'ham) and put it in the MRCCAL newsletter and what not

Evan, yeah you need an electric power buffer, a couple foam buffing pads, and some good 3M or mcguires compound (we usually use 3M everything except for a mcguires glaze) I'll have to look at the names and numbers of stuff next time I'm out in the garage. You'll probably end up spending about 50 bucks on compound and pads, but they should last you (and your friends who are willing to pay) a lifetime.

The process itself is monkey work after you get used to it. However, your arms will want to fall off after about half way through. That is the perfect time to go inside, relax, and make yourself (or have your lady-friend make you) a sammich. Then go back outside and go to work. A whole car about FD sized will probably take 3 hours, but if your paint is oxidized or just nasty lookin, this will make it look new. My vert went from looking like a total beater, to a beautiful car just with a ripped top and some battle damage on the driver's fender.

Screwloose78 thanks for telling me about the guy you work with but im going to try to learn how to do it myself.

Kingbob when you wanna get to gether, and where. I figure we can just go pick up the stuff the day we.... or I do the buffing. Whenever is good for me just let me know a date you can possible help me out. If you also have a buffer and would like to help and possibly cut the time in half. I can give you a lttile cash or help you buff a car. Just let me know.

Thanks,
Evan

We missed you Don, and anyone else that could have made it.
Well I hope to meet more of you and should soon as I have asked Phil if I could join the MRCCAL. I am 50 miles in the TN line off of I-65. In the area hit me up some time.

Chad

Sorry about that Chad. I got your message but at the time you called I was out raking grass . Because of all the rain we've been getting, I had to do something about my yard since it had not been mowed in nearly 2 weeks.

yeah it's still on.

bringing a 7 is not mandatory. I'll be bringing my vert and my little brother will drive the silver car. I need to wash and detail the vert just a little bit before I come though. Guess I'll have to do it tommorow

Man, the trip sucked major. Where to begin????? Lets see, Well you know the tranny fell over in the bed of my truck, so while driving down the road the wind misted it all over my back window, trailer and the gslse.

Then a huge wreck on the interstate and after sitting for 45 mins I took my crewcab 4x4 duramax truck with the 18ft flatbed trailer thru the median to turn around. Once I trurned around I had to go back to the AL/Tn line to get off only to have a trailer tire blow out moments before I get to the exit. With no spare tire I drove hwy 31 north all the way to trevors where i dropped the trailer and went home. I got home at 5:45pm.
The trip costed me $108 in fuel, food, tire, etc.......
That trip sucked! I will not drive the truck down anymore! For now on the 7 comes (alot better on gas)!

But other than that it was great!
He likes the car, and tomorrow I will get it off the trailer so the motor compartment can get blasted and painted before the motor install.

Well keep me posted for the next event.

I am think ablut the Deals Gap run again, but don't want to dish out that kind of money again for a cabin since the others I shared the cabin with did not pay.
