ok, first... Sorry about your car Don. Let me know what you are going to do...
Second, Dick Lambert (cym 3 rotor) wants to come to Huntsville to meet up with us.. So we need to plan a get together in the next few weeks.
Also I am about 90% sure I broke a seal or have a side seal stuck after the Gap event so I will be in the market for a new motor soon. Car is running fine just low vac and idle is a little off. I can also tell its not as powerful as before. I really think I hurt it at the drag strip when my clutch let go but further damaged it at the Gap. Not sure if I am just going to buy a new race port motor from Steve or attemp the rebuild myself?? Either way its going to have to wait until I finish building my house- September ish..

Nah, Car still runs fine. No differance from how it ran at the Gap. I spoke with Steve and he gave me a few ideas on things to check and none fixed it. I will probably get a compression test done soon just to confirm. BUT the new motor will not go in until Fall-winter.

What... thread closed? Let me guess... jimlab got involved, right?
Well, anyway, I just got a very decent quote on body work & a full-car respray from Huntsville Body and Seat Cover. The guy I spoke with (Matthew) is currently painting his own car (Vette) and showed me some of the work. They seem like they are very competent and careful to attend to detail. They may cut us both a break if we bring them two paint/body jobs, so if you haven't picked a shop yet we may want to talk.

I am down and out. Car will not start. Motor is toast. I am not upset. I mean I am far from happy but I knew running lots of boost on the old stock motor was just a time bomb.. It was fun while it lasted but I could tell after the last track day (drag racing) it was more than a blowen clutch. Power was not the same.. Might be a few months before I have time to put in the new motor. Still searching to find out what I am going to be putting in.. Steve's motor, rotary performance, Phils guy or maybe a 3 rotor! Options are endless at this point. If I heard of many 3 rotors running after 20-30k miles I might go that way. Otherwise I will be looking for 550rwhp out of a 2 rotor! Have to finish my house I am building and I might be opening another store in Nashville. So I will have no time until Fall..
I will still se if Dick wants to come to town but I will be sportin the pickup!
