Oh yeah, anybody got a hookup near Wilmington on inspection, already got turned down once for no cats..

 

it's not me, it's my brother (Heavyfoot86), I'm only 14, but yeah, we cant pass emissions either, there is a little leak in his muffler, and he has a gutted cat emissions sucks.... what color is your car, and what all do ya have on it?

 

its montego blue, it has pullies, intake, full exhaust, street port and i have a pettit ecu i havent put in yet.

or you could just go a county over that doesn;t have emmission testing. just don;t tell them you are from another county. they will follow the rules of their county.

 

i just bought a car... should have it in my hands in about a month, its a 10ae and I'm getting it rebuilt by kevin landers, he's going to streetport it while hes got it apart. I also got the Rtek7 ecu upgrade, and am planning on putting the full RB turbo exhaust when I get it and performing the TID mod. I'm excited to finally have turbo power

 

Well I don't live in a emissions county, but from what I understand from reading the DMV site, it's illegal to remove a factory installed cat.. is this not right? and the car is just so damn loud that they look extra hard.

 

yeah it is illegal to remove any factory emmissions equipment. that includes mufflers, cats, air pumps, etc. you just need to find someone that doesn;t look under the car.

my car has no air pump, no cats, and a loud *** HKS exhaust system. there is no way that it would ever pass an inspection if i didn;t have a hook up. just look around. talk to other guys that aren't in specs and find out where they get their inspections done.

 

I need to find someone too. That makes about 4 7's in Wilmington that cant pass emissions, meaning we need to find a good hookup somewere. I'll search around and see what I can find, there may be a place around hampstead that can hook us all up??
