I am not trying to jack your thread, but we are trying to get a club going just north of you guys. We have had a couple of informal get togehters. If we get to the point that we have some events we are going to want to stay in touch with you guys. If you are interested in what we do check out these two threads

Well the FD has been dropped off at Rotorsports today. Brian had about 6 3rd gens and 6 2nd gens in his yard, it was crazy.

I don't think I'll be rallying right away when I get back, especially since there are no races local to the VA area. I still WANT to race, but I just don't see it happening. I need a truck and trailer, and lots of money, for that. Plus I want a RWD car for rallying... such as a 7 To answer the inevitable question, yes, AWD would be better for rallying, but is a LOT more expensive to remain competitive.

I doubt that I will use the engine from the Sunbird, because I don't really like those cars anyway. I may swap it into something just to sell it, or possibly take the engine home with me and sell it.

So that really leaves the choice between the rally car and the 7 I do not yet own. Hmmmm.... I suppose that decision will depend on how much the guy wants for his 91. Damn, I need more money...

I'm going to try to get my parents to let me take out a small loan (3-3½ thousand $$'s) to just go ahead and get a StageII rebuild w/ large streetport from Rotorsports. I wont have to pay collision on an engine, I'll have my base race engine to start building, and it'll last for a very long time (plus it has warranty)...and most importantly I'LL GET TO KEEP MY CAR.

Still fixin' stuff one at a time

George, isn't Roper kinda close to Elizabeth City? And therefore not too far from Hampton Roads (Norfolk area).

Well, we'll see... I have to figure out how much this guy wants for his 91 first. I am really digging on the idea of this euro-spec TII for some reason. It probably isn't any more powerful. I guess it more boils down to not wanting to see yet another TII get sent to the crusher.

I know there's a few 7's out there performing rally duties, so I may just wait for one of them to become available (again).

I just can't live without an FC anymore, I guess. No, it's not enough to have a 90 GTUs, I want a TII

Man, I need help

Ren

P.S. Anyone want a REPU? I have to sell mine, since I won't have time to mess with it. Problem is, it's in CA.

BTW, check out the NC club, if you did't get it in your e-mail already. I posted in there about having a meet sometime in March.

Pretty much, and then some. I've never been to Sebring, FL, but that's where I bought my GTUs.
