Personally, I think he should get one of those moped things that folds up into a little square...

But really, I think it is going to be a serious project, and not only very costly but also very time-consuming. And, I think it's going to be a pain in the *** to get the bike in and out, not to mention it's going to basically turn his sleeping compartment into a garage.

Isn't there some way he can hang the bike outside, in the rear?

i sat down with him today and we talked about it. and by the time we finished between the two of us we had talked himself out of it

he is just going to do without it.

cuz there is no way for him to mount the bike in the rear. cuz then he could not carry refrigerated trailers. and there is nothign stable enough ont eh front to maount it on.

so he is jstu goign to do without it. and i can;t say that i am disappointed, cuz that would have been a major hassle.

Well....there comes a time in every man's life where he has to part with his first true love. I, unfortunately, have reached that stage. No, George, I'm dumping Veronica, but I am.....(dun dun dun) selling the RX-7. I know, I feel like a sell out too. But I feel that I must. I lost control of the car the other night on an on ramp in the rain (I was only doing 40 mph, but the rear steer kicked in and jumped the back end out, and I started losing control of the slide...so I put her into the curb, instead of going off the other side, down the hill, into the trees.) The car hit the curb, went over, scraped the crap out of a rim, and probably screwed up the rear suspension. Me and Dad are going to go through and figure out what's still okay (I have a feeling everything's fine, we didnt hit THAT hard, and it slide right up over the curb) I cannot decide whether to sell the car as a parts car for about 800 (what I paid for it), sell my new uncollected RB header and 6 port adapters for 170 (what I paid) and sell my CD player for about $100....all seperate. Or just sell the car for like 1200 as a whole. She does still run, fairly strong. but will need a rebuild soon, the water seals are going out. This isnt official yet, but I figured I'd run it by y'all first

Ren, you can share this with your SC friends too, I'm sure John could use another parts car lol

(I found a 02 Xtreme blazer for under 20 grand, 23k miles, I have a good job, I can make a payment, and it'd last me through college ) So if I can get this car gone quickly, I'll have a decent down payment)

Oh come on man, just cause you lost control one time doesn't mean you should sell it. Hell i've lost control, spun around, nearly killed myself and others several times.....makes for good stories. Can't insurance fix some of that stuff you broke?

He's not really sellin it becuz he wrecked, he's sellin it becuz it's burning a hole in his pocket and he's tired of new prbs. popping up every other day. Now the air is staying in tha tire. so he doesnt need a new rim or tire.
And I dont think his suspension is messed up!oh yeah,ya'll might not of heard, but he scratched the rim so bad that they couldnt get the tire on without air comin out of the side of the rim(the bead was screwed up bad) and out of no where it started holding air, So me and Chris put the tire on and it didnt leak any air. he didnt drive it to work becuz we werent 100% sure. but trust me, he wouldnt be sellin it if it werent for the engine about to go and all the other crap wrong with it.

Well, it's a plus that the reply box at the bottom of the thread is back, but I sure hope it doesn't automatically put the sig at the bottom of every post like it did that one. What a waste of bandwidh...

Guess what, it does...

Anyway, Chris, if you can't get the Xtreme, tell your Dad you can save some money by getting a Syclone or Typhoon...

I just about lost my first 7 two days after I bought it, back in '96. I was going too fast heading into an onramp (well, too fast for 300-treadwear 195/70-14's, anyway), and made the mistake of lifting off the gas. The car spun car around 180º and stopped less than six inches from the concrete barrier wall.

I learned two very valuable lessons that day: 1) Don't pretend your car is a slot racer on 70-series tires, and 2)DON'T lift off the gas in a turn. Actually, I already knew these things from reading, but there's nothing like a little personal experience to drive a point home.

Is that your car? I thought yours was NA

Or is that what you've been hinting around about...
