If anyone has a airpump bracket I need it.. My car ate another one.

Shut up derrick. lol. I know how you hate Series 5s.

Anyway.. I'm still pretty iffy on making it.. but if I can get my exhaust done well.. how can I not. I just hope I make it with no air pump.. I'm doing my radiator tonight or in the morning.. wish me luck!

*signing up for compression test*

I hope I can make it but while doing my radiator I crush the heater end and had to open it back up then the hose wouldn't seal to it.. so I had to go get a fat clamp. Not that's working I'm stuck with no airpump and no way to block off the air box so I'm getting unfiltered air. and there is something dripping and making a hissing sound on the engine. I really think I hate this car.

We're about to leave, see whoever shows up in an hour or so. I hope we're still meeting at the 129 market...

w00t!

Good times today. Alyssa and I had fun. So did the TII even though it was crying out for oil by the time we ended our leisurely stroll on 129. A quick trip to Walmart solved that. Thanks for the food, fun, and rotors. Hopefully we'll have another meet sometime after I'm back from NY.

Well, I think it's going to hold up.. I drove it around town yesterday and a little today and have not found any leaks on the ground on the under plastic thing.

I think I'm looking for a catback so if anyone has a catback with two exits let me know. Thanks.

Nice, finally another FD to add to the club. Though...dandridge...if you happen to see a primer fc buzz by, pay me no mind as I drool.

On a side note....swaybar replaced, strut bar installed, rear bumper starting to cook from fireballs...and Josh's widebody vert is about 10lb's of wiring lighter and cleaner inside...still not up and going but getting there.

lol, there was enough cops out sunday to deprive a county of enforcement...
there was a minimmum of 2 ppl who lost there rides today alone, and at least 4 new charger's that were drug searched, one of which quite likely hauled away on the rollback that I saw on the way down the mountain.

But i now know i need to rig up a 'fireplate' for my exhaust... im started melting the bumper from the 2nd gear only dragon run...fireballs be damned wooooooooooooo

Anyone have cruise control equipment they don't need anymore? I need the bracket that goes on the firewall to hold it and the cruise control computer.

I have all that cruise control stuff laying around *somewhere*.

Welcome to the club Rocco... if I spot you in Knoxville I'll give you a rev.

Jl1, you've created a monster. Good thing that cop only waved at you!

Welcome back to the forum, BattleCattle. I hope you're enjoying your "vacation." I keep seeing different blue EVO's at Best Buy but I'm guessing they're not yours.

Oh... forgot to mention... I was flipping through channels last week and happened to see video of 129. It was on the community channel... over half an hour of footage from a bike running to deals gap and back and on Foothills.

Yea i was glad he waved at me me too. But the cop in north carolina didnt. I was about 1 mile from the virginia border and got popped for 86 in 65. I was after a lexus, so that was close to his speed, but driving a 7 with the top down, well you can guess who the cop went after. And yes I know I have a monster with my daughter, but at least i have about 10 years till she can be on the road, so I will wait till then!!!!

Its good, ran like a champ back to virginia, the A/C pump **** a brick, so I have to replace that and with heat it's fun! Other than that engine pulls strong and the tranny is tight and no grinding. The top has about a one inch tear in it, again other than some hail damage on the hood the car is cherry. Needed very little tlc, it was very well taken care of. I think the only other issue is the cruise, it doesnt seem to work. I have to troubleshoot it this weekend. I plan on getting some pictures this weekend of it and I will post them.

So check this out guys. Today i was talking with a friend here in Morristown and he was telling me that he'd tried to call me one night to tell me about a piece of JDM mad tyte driving skillz by an rx7 driver here in town.

Apparently this happened one night on a curvy 2 lane backroad (Dearing Rd for locals) here in Morristown. Coming off a pretty sharp 90* turn there is a long straightaway with a few rolling hills...this is double yellow line territory because of the hills and dips.

Apparently this rx7 driver tries to pass him/his wife/his kids in their stock volvo/camry/whatever (not sure what they were driving) and finds out that they are not as slow as they look, finds himself unable to pass aforementioned stock grocery getter up to about 80mph on the wrong side of the road, realizes he is coming upon a major intersection with a 4 lane divided highway, and has to skid 25 yards to a stop, still in the wrong lane.

Then when aforementioned driver of grocery getter pulls up to him to have a word about the incident, rx7 driver turns up his radio, backs up, and hauls *** back down the same road he just came from in such a hurry.

This rx7 was described as a red convertible with a long haired male driver.

Anybody know who it could have been?

On a side note, next weekend, not to be confused with this weekend, there may be a possible meet up near the gap. Further detail will be given when i can think of em, long *** week ahead of me at work.

Alright Yeti... where were you on the night of... whenever? You better have a good alibi like "I've been in Nicaragua all summer" or something.

Well Hitokiri, we CAN plan that far ahead, though we generally meet every other weekend if weather permits, and meets usually take place in knoxville, and sometimes we meet up at US129.

Actually, the road isn't curvy where I did it.. it's was straight.. and it was around 5:30 pm in the summer. so not dark. Radio was never just turned up. I hit 90 plus when I put it in second. and I was on my side of the road by then. The only reason I turned around was because the guy pulled in front of me and would not let me go. So I left. I'm not really worried about it either way.. I was just pissed on by a puppy with a full bladder and the **** was under my ***** and getting into my crack so I was going home. I was going around that 90* curve and then I saw the vovlo.. I wasn't worried about his power or anything.. I sat behind him for a bit until it was clear on both lanes and after that turn it's straight and you can about see to the highway.. So I tried to pass. only problem was once I was getting beside him he wouldn't let me pass he sped up too. So I went into 3rd and finally he let me pass. and then I hit the brakes to stop at the road.. my brakes were old so they didn't work.. so I put it into second and rev matched the best I could and it was about 8500 and the rear wheels locked.. I stopped and he came around in front almost hitting the car infront of me.So I started to go some and he moved even more to block me.. Now I don't know about you but I'm not getting my assed kicked because I was pissed on by a dog and tried to hurry home. So I knew the other way out barely and turned around and left that way.. I figured the guys wasn't going to give much chase. they did for a bit then that was it.. This happened on June 30th at about 5-6pm. I came back in about 30-45 minutes after my shower. But yeah I doubt I changed or had time to worry about my radio. no matter. Tell that guy I am sorry.. I hope there is no hard feelings.
