Ohhhh ok then, that makes better sense, you two wont have to fight for em lol, cuz the way i understood it dude said he had a T2 motor (complete minus harness) with t2 tranny, and a NA motor(complete) with a bad tranny, im going to assume S4's but if they are S5 just use the S5 keg with the S4 externals and you should be fine, theres not much difference between internals to matter much by way of tuning with stock ecu's, though you'd just have to swap the electric omp for a mechanical...

nice, look forward to havin you back down here lol.

Looks like im getting another 11 weeks of unemployment, so as soon as my parts show up im gonna go ahead and put the conquest into the shop to have the head done....then im going to undertake the task of de-pinning and re-looming my entire engine harness for the NA, tidy the bay up and clean under the hood a bit better.

sorry to go off topic here, but im tryin to get input about turbo 12a's. like would it be cheaper to turbo 12a instead of 13b? talking about 1st gens obviously. and which one has more horsepower potential? keeping money in mind. like say i got 3g's to spend on the engine. just wondering

13B always.

12A has its limits.

yeah a turbo 13b will make more power reliably than a turbo 12a.

and speaking of 12a's...just dropped my Conquest off at the mechanics tonight...apparently he had a first gen that he yanked the 12A and trans out of, which were running when he pulled them... Apparently he had a rotary snowmobile back when he lived in MI, said in the 7 years+ he owned the thing he never once changed the plugs in it. Sounds like the more I talk to people around here the more motors I can scrounge up.

But im more concerned with the 'quest being up and running for good once I get it back, so i can at least get the 7 ready for the walters state scca event.

the factory built 12aT only made like 165hp, thats about equal to a s5 n/a. it would still be interesting to have though. there is a girl on myspace leting a beautiful '83 gsl go for $900. its a steal, the car needs absolutely nothing, she just wants rid of it b/c no one can service a rotary out where she lives.

fuuuuuuck that. Ill go with a possibly aggressive streetport, which benefits NA's more than a bridge will. But it seems teh SCF guys are doing a meet-and-greet next saturday, so hopefully my Conquest is ready by then for its first real meet.
