Well hopefully ill make it, depending on how the next few days at work go that is.

On a side note...I found a 1989 Chrysler Conquest TSi at a newport junkyard....interior is mostly good, motor has 91k on it, its a 4spd auto box(which is dead). Guy wants 1500 for it with a new rebuilt tranny for it. Needs two rear rims (which i have a full set of startquest rims oddly enough.)) Fiji Blue paint, hoods fading and needs mirros and light body work to the lower rockers....thought id let someone know >.>

SO i went TO pick up my vert parts car/whole car.. i got there right? took one look at the car, and i about ******* **** THIS ****** HAS A COSMO IN IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just wanted it. it alone, **** the rest of the car.

THEN THIS ****** STARTED PRICING ****
250 for a TRUNK LID
125 and a BUMPER SKIN!!!
30 for stereo trim.

he even wanted 375 for the DENTED AND SCRATCHED WHEELS!!
i simply told HIM the WHOLE car.
he wanted 1200 for a WRECKED,didnt know if it EVEN RAN
I told him to ******* keep it and his best bet is to scrap it.

The car was MISSING the following
Drivers window(seats had mold in them)
Main fuse box.
60% of the plastic trim
no tail lights! ( he said a guy came and bought them saturday *sniff sniff* b/s)
SO after all the **** missing on the car, he wouldnt BUDGE from 1200...
still, i walked away laughing in his face and so pissed i could kick in his teeth!

HOW MANY TIMES DO YOU FIND A COSMO?!?!?!?! MOTHER ******!!

yes >.> yes you do >.> Its already got a header and presilencer(racingbeat), nearly full emissions removal, FD alt with dual pulley, no ac, no ps(i have a manual rack to put into it). Has a SAFC-II hooked up and tuned for fuel economy, it got around 23mpg, gets about 20 last i drove it. I also have a phantom grip lsd and brand new 4.30 gears for the rear end, and new brakes all around and they grip hard (no abs). Thats the good.

The bad. Whole car is primered grey over once good black paint. Theres light, fixable, guardrail damage near the drivers side taillight(Though car is capable of accepting s5 tails with no mods...ask later). Rear bumper skin needs replaced, tailpipes melted it a bit and its got a spot from guardrail incident from PO. Windshield is cracked, wiper switch dont work, but i have a good one i think >.> Interior is in ok shape, i have the passenger seat out atm cuz its dead weight, grey cloth btw. It says 180k on the body and trans, i put in a fresher motor from an autobox car that had about 140k on it, eats a bit of coolant, no oil burning that i know of. Has high high oil pressure, according to stock guage... Omp works great with no leaks, engine bay was kept fairly clean i have pics even upon request....

Wow, it had a 13B-RE? That's one hell of a find for a junkyard. I wonder if the guy knows anything about the motor? He didn't seem too knowledgeable in my experiences out there. 1200 for a parts car... what a douchebag. Although if that motor isn't blown then it's worth that much. I bet it's sitting on a TII transmission too. Did you see any obvious reason why the car was in the scrapyard? Like maybe a bus had taken out one side of it? I can't believe someone would let a car with a Cosmo swap just go to a yard. That's so much work and money!

Yeah I meant to call you or Evan today... I didn't realize until today that he was wanting to go the day of the meet. Are you gonna meet up with us and show off your new ride?

Damn you guys post a lot.

I saw a primered FC yesterday on Chapman Highway. It was kinda dark but I think it was a vert and had a TII hood. Not sure on whether it was S4 or S5.

Haven't seen a primered vert. We all need some "RX7Club knows about you!" flyers. Or some magnets... that way we can throw them at passing 7's.

131 horror stories... he tried to charge me tax on stuff one time when he never had before... what junkyard charges sales tax??

Keep posting people, we gotta take down that "Saturdays in Raleigh" thread... I think they still have us by like 8000 posts.

It's a sad thing to have to do. My Supra sat out in the yard a few times, and I ended up parking it at Advanced Auto for week or two before someone bought it.

Speaking of FC's for sale, the "PARTS RIDE" is up for sale. My friend wants $250 for it. It "runs" and drives (hence the reason it's a parts ride), but not that well and it has no title so basically this car is for parts. The motor has a really hard time revving past 4k under throttle, leading me to believe the secondary injectors are shot. I'm not even sure what this car is... I think it's an 86 or 87 base model. Here's some shots of it from last May...

If anyone is interested, I can put you in touch with the owner.
