Oh hey, I just got the SCCA magazine in the mail. It's got two FD's on the front. Anyone else get that? They sent me a thing with a registration form. They want ma money. It says they have a "first gear" membership for anyone 24 and under for 45 bucks. I probably won't do that this year, but maybe I'll join next year since I'll be right at the limit.

You'll probably have to find the SCCA rule book. I'd link you but I couldn't find it on any of their sites. I know I've seen it before... there was a whole section on that stuff. I'm pretty sure it has to be a sealed box though, unless you get a dry cell.

That sucks. You could still try to scoot by if it's tied down, perhaps. Better yet, just hide the damn thing and hope they don't find it. Tell them rotary engines don't need a battery, ha!

i found the rule book it says that they must be in a marine container or equivelent non conductive and have a insulated positive terminal.

does my plastic box count as a marine non conductive container or equivelent?

and if cody gets his t2 motor i think we should both help put it in so he can run it at the autox that would be sweet

and if all else comes to fail there atr the autox i can just bring some tools and put the thiung back into the engine bay but im gonna have to find a way to tie it down. do bungie cords count??? hahhaha

Is your battery box completely enclosed? If so it might pass. It's worth a shot at least. If you want to put it back in the stock spot, you need the plastic undertray and you can tie it down with a $4 tiedown from Autozone. Bungees aren't allowed.

Who's hatin' on the vert Yeti? I've driven that thing on the Dragon, I rather like it.

I saw an FC in Maryville tonight... it had a big *** park bench on it! I didn't get a very good look at it because it was dark and I couldn't stop staring at that enormous wing.

Haha... Jesus H. Christ, when I saw that picture I thought you'd rattlecanned Hellbent's vert and I was gonna have to shoot you. Sweet deal man, give us the details. Details like why you still have money to spend on things.

Well as you can tell its not hellbents as the taillights are S4, the wheels are 195's not 205's, the top isnt ripped and not dings/dents/scratches besides some minor front dmg that is easily fixed.

Picked it up for about 200ish, needs interior bits like carpet and door panels and such, but deflooded it and smacked the started a bit and she fired up for the trip from Topside Drive back to hellbents. Motor's all stock minus what appears to be a 3in straight-pipe off the stock manifold to the ypipe. All she needs is a starter, interior, and to replace the injectors for nonleaky ones that flow right and a tune-up/belts.

Ive not even cleaned it out yet or hosed it off... gonna go do that in a bit as I think about selling it to hellbent minus its wheels...

Oh and more pics are up on the "other" forum btw.

Cody, I don't mean to ignore your honks as you pass by the shop.. It may be you doing that, but every time I hear a beep I assume someone is about to get hit. You gotta catch me when I'm staring out the shop window!
And Derick, why you posting more pics up on the other forum and not this one? We love you more, I see how it is.....

MFiend.
