I'm in the process of trying to get into the car show scene when she comes down see if you can talk her into taking some car/model pics

hey, ballantyne is like 10 minutes from me. we have a huge get together/meet every saturday within a minute from there. next time you come down, let me know. you should bring the fdizzle out and we'll have some fun

Two More Weeks!!!!

It's getting close to tune time. I'm hoping everyone is ready. I know I can't stand this wait and I'm looking forward to my car to stop the idle madness. It sound like I have a hard hitting cam and when people ask. I just tell them that it has a really large port job.

Ok, guys. Here's the meeting place:

Rx7world.com, Ernst's place. His # is 866-230-6173. I've spoken to Ernst and he's agreed to let me call his place "home base" for Aug 12 & 13 (Sat & Sun). He's got one bay for any kind of light mechanic work that may be needed, also. I'm not familiar with the area so I'm not exactly sure where he's located but I do know it's about 20 min from Charlotte for those that also aren't familiar with the area. If you need, give him a call or toss me a PM and I'll give you my cell #. If anyone can't do the weekend but can only do Thur, Friday or Monday of that weekend, please let me know and I'll arrange for it.

just a reminder for any last minute people

the dates are: THURSDAY, AUGUST 10TH THROUGH TUESDAY, AUGUST 15TH

THAT'S THIS WEEK!

I believe the cost is $350, and Brian will spend up to 5 hours on your car...not a bad deal

I'm looking at doing my tune on Saturday morning before noon if that's ok with Brian. I will be driving down from Burlington, which is about an hour and a half. I want to give the car some time to cool before he has to jump under the hood.

Brian, are there ANY last minute things that need to be done before the tune. I was planning on putting about a half tank of Shell 93 for the tune and I still want to take it to the dyno (working on the arrangements and time) just to get some numbers. My main issues are as follows:
1. Idle is up and down as if it has a solid lift cam in it.
2. Safe set up for 14psi to be used only on race day (maybe once a month)
3. Daily tune for 12psi getting into boost maybe once every other day for 2nd and 3rd gear
4. Great gas mileage (ha-ha) on the hwy doing 80mph
5. AC makes the idle go even worse and temps creep up from normal 89c to 104c in traffic. I know I have my set up to where the fans kick on around 85c, but it seems like something just isn't right with the low speed fan and high speed. If you turn the AC on 3 it wants to stall.

104C is overheating. There's an issue there either with your fans not coming on or ducting that's been removed from the car.. or something else. I do not recommend running it if it gets that hot. 100C = 212*F = overheating.

NO AC IN GA, are you crazy , no really I will watch the temps and ensure they stay down below 100c which they normally do. I normally make sure that it doesn't get to high, but what about the other issues? Does the half tank of gas and everything else sound doable (if that's a word)?

Brian, Call me when you get there if you still have my cell number. I will wait till around 8:00pm to give you a call on the cell number that you called me from a while back. I usually check the forum while I'm driving up (on my cell phone and yes I know it's a bad idea, but I get bored), so if you have a different number just pm me. I want to make sure that we are MEETING AT ERNST TOMORROW MORNING AROUND 10:00am. If there are any changes then just post or pm me. I couldn't line up the dyno, so I'm just getting a street tune and I will check out my numbers on Monday if possible.

Maybe. Give me a call or something while I'm out at Rx7world today. We'll see what's going on.
