Brian Cain Dyno Tuning in Charlotte

With the exception of anyone who may want to tackle a second map with some race gas and a million pounds of boost, I don't need a dyno to do the tuning. Consider it useful for extremely high load tuning plus getting power figures. $70-$100 for a few pulls is outrageously expensive.

street tuning > dyno tuning
heat, load, cruise, 1/4 and 1/2 throttle, etc. doesnt get properly matched on a dyno. just not the same.
my beef with p1 is if you have a lean spike they will ride thru it. alot of cars have come off their dyno tuned for a certain boost and then when the car hits the streets it's boost changes. they don't change the values on the dyno for the different weights of the cars. BOB is the ****. good asian guy yes.

Ernst at RX7 World is interested in getting his single turbo with Haltech tuned, he wants to do it during the day Friday if at all possible, so that should be six people

Ticket has been purchased. I'll be there from Thursday July 20th in the afternoon to July 26th in the morning. That gives us that Friday, the weekend, and Monday/Tuesday basically for any stragglers. See you guys there!

I'm looking at getting my tune done Friday morning. If that's not going to work with you let me know. I want to make arrangements for the dyno now, but I need to find out if you are going to be able to tune that morning. Where do you prefer to meet and which dyno do you think would be best between the Mustang dyno and the dyno dynamics just for HP numbers?

it looks like Brian will be delayed now until the first week in August, apparently Travelocity messed up his reservation
I'll let him fill in the details

Yep, I was confirming my travel dates with Mark (originally July 20-26) when I checked the paper tickets that Travelocity had sent me. They wound up sending me the wrong dates -- July 25 and July 27, which would've effectively left me with only one day to do anything. I talked to them but they said it was my fault. I don't see how in the world it is as I purchased the ticket off the website. Their customer service, I could swear, is in India, too. I spoke to 'Rachel' and 'Bruce' but oddly enough they had Urdu, Indian accents. Hmmm. Anyways, I sent the paper tickets back and will be contacting them tomorrow about a set of new dates. I am looking at first week of August so the trip will be put off by about 2 weeks. Hopefully this short delay won't trouble anyone and will hopefully allow others to get their vehicles in order if they infact aren't by the original dates.

FINALLY got the dates settled:
Thur Aug 10 in the early afternoon all the way to Tues Aug 15 in the early morning, so figure Fri, Sat, Sun, and Mon to do some stuff. Hope this doesn't hurt anyone's schedule. By the way, I do not use a dyno as it's primarily used for getting power figures. I use the road, instead, where it's more realistic.
