I might need mine tuned as well. If I can get mine going here soon and get it broken in, then I will definately be in for some BDC tuning.

Ok Brian we have waited long enough.. BUT!!!! Heres my deal.. I am getting married that weekend and would offer you a spot to crash, but inlaws are gonna be in town.. Bummer..
You can have my car to drive if you needed transportation and P1 is a few miles from my house. You know what i need done as far as tuning and rebuilding. But like i said i need to show up to the alter..
Call me let me know..

I wanted to run a couple of thoughts by you and the rest of the crowd.

1. If you’re going to be there all week, do you have any problem with doing a couple of tunes during the week instead of trying to do them all on the weekend? If not, will P1 allow us to have the dyno for both the weekdays and weekend?
2. What is the maximum number of people that can sign up for the tune?

I'm sure that I will have more questions to come.

I think that I'm going to try to get down during the week instead of waiting on the weekend. Improved FD (Mark) will I have to call ahead to plan things with P1 or will you be able to get a good rate with them for the "7" guys?

you need to arrange your own dyno tuning and the date you want to do it, I'm not your mom and I'm not getting paid to do this
it will probably need to be a weekday because they are likely booked up well in advance on weekends
I suggest you call NOW and post up what dates you are scheduling for dyno time

I called P1 and talked to Jake last week and he informed me that if we talked to him and let him know in advance about using the dyno as a club that he could give us a better rate. If anyone else wants a dyno post and I will find out what sort of rate he would be willing to give us. I just assumed that since you put P1 out there in your original post that you might have some sort of connection. Most of the people are coming from out of town and you are one of the only locals on the tune, but I have no problem taking care of finding out what sort of discount he will offer us.

thanks....not trying to be rude, it's just that organizing and scheduling dyno tuning sessions with a bunch of cars sounds like a real hassle to me (maybe it won't be, I'm not sure how busy they are)
I plan on freeway tuning with Mr. Cain, no dyno required
I might dyno later, but I'm really not all that concerned about it, more concerned the car is tuned right, for real world conditions

Right, Mark. I don't have to have the dyno to tune the vehicles at all. Consider it a bonus and only necessary for those that want some hp/torque figures.
What dates can I setup around your schedule, Mark? Also, will I be hanging out at your place?

Spoke to P1 on Friday and received price and scheduling info:
1. $80.00 Base line w/air fuel and boost logging
2. $70.00 Base line w/o air fuel and boost logging
Jake doesn't have a problem with you having from one to five runs, but doesn't want to get into trying to make five to ten runs. Normal rate that I have found is anywhere from $70.00 to 100.00 for three runs. I haven't seen to many places that will allow you to make more then three runs without going into the hour rates. Schedule one day in advance for weekday and at least a week prior if you want to use dyno on the weekend. He uses a Mustang Dyno which he has informed me the numbers will be lower then numbers elsewhere, so if you are looking for a nice sheet to post. You might want to rethink using the dyno.

check out Carolina Performance www.cprace.com
located on South Blvd in Charlotte, NC
they use dyno dynamics and have a very large facility that can accomodate (sp?) a crowd and multiple cars being dyno'd. their average price is 40.00 for 3 - 4 pulls if i remember correctly. maybe 50.00.
just helping you guys with options.
oh and.... P1 SUX! BWAAAHHAHHAHAAA jk, just alot of people have had bad dyno experiences with them.

NVMYRX-7, thanks for the P-1 info, Mustang dynos are better for dyno tuning then dynojets anyways. That seems like a good price, plus they are really close to my family's house in the Charlotte area.

CP dosnt have a dynojet... its a dyno dynamics dyno. it can do all the same stuff that mustang dyno at p1 can.
IF you get a dyno in charlotte.... go to cp racing. I researched this already for when bdc was gonna come about a year ago. call cp.
