Nevermind Mike, I guess we can stop somewhere on the way down for lunch so we can leave at 11:30.

Mike and Don, I'm planning on trying to leave Muscle Shoals at around 10:00am Saturday morning. That would put me at the Cullman/Moulton Exit #310 on I-65 at around 10:45 to 11:00am. I would like to try to make it to B'ham for lunch but I can wait and go down with you guys...just let me know your plans.

OK, but I'm not going to eat lunch there. I'll just grab a burger or something on the way.

By the way, Surin West is VERY americanized Thai restaurant.. Just in case..

also, the largest thai rest. I've been.. anywhere in US.

And parking will be challenging but not too bad... There is no parking lot (there is one just behind it but they charge up the *** ($5). But all street parking is FREE on saturday!

If you guys are against that, lets try to find another location.. I'm up for anything.

Ok, my next purchase is going to be a vented hood. Ok I said it even though I said I would never do body kits I need a hood as my under hood temps are out of this world. Now how makes the Mazda speed hood in a knock off thats quality? Or another one with similar looks. Scoot is not my style. Like it on Phils and others with the complete body upgrade but for me I just want a hood that will breath. Intake air will also be important.

Mike, How about the Feed hood from Shine Auto.

From most angle it looks stock but has functioning vents.

If you go with Feed hood, I'm about to order quite a bit of stuff for other people. You could have a ton on shipping and 5% off.

Phil, Thanks, I like the Feed but its not what I am looking for. I realy need venting on the passenger side area. Kinda around were the turbo exhaust is at. Looks like mazdaspeed is my best bet. Anyone have a source for mazdaspeed or knock off...

Isn't the MS like the Knightsport but without the two rearward vents at the back of the engine bay?? If so you may want to look into that. I have the VIS KS hood and that and/or the ducting around the radiator has reduced my coolant temps tremendously. Sorry can't say about the under hood temps I never measured them before or after.

If thats the case, I think you need to get what Chris has.. The Knight sport hood.

The MS hood is similar to what Bryant's hood is minus the opening in the back. Athilun used to make the MS hood and I recently was looking for one.. But its hard to find one and most of them are quite expensive used.. and shipping is what kills ya ($150-200).

Chris' hood is like MS but larger and wider opening on the front and vents in the back corners..

If you are looking for venting for the rear, I say Feed would do better job than MS as its vents are toward the back.. I don't know if you seen MS hoods, but the vents are quite smaller and also its for the IC more than getting air or heat out of the back.

Personally, I think vented hood helps some, but if you are having serious heat problem, Not sure vented hood will be the cure.

Here are some pics..

Thanks for posting up all the pics.. I am not sure which one yet. To be honest I wish I could ahve one made.. One that had a scoop molded in (round) to flow to turbo and one to release heat from Turbo exhaust back to fire wall... Make look like **** but would be functionable...
