I gota agree with this. You don't NEED a $500 pda to run the Rtek. My first PDA cost me $15 and worked pretty good. I upgraded to a new more expensive one because I WANTED the extra features.

I already have one...I didn't already have a pda...so for me personally my above statement is still true

So...pretty much if it's > $100...I'm probably going to sell it and look for a full standalone used here on the forum...I'm not saying this to ruffle any feathers...just being honest and you can use that as customer feedback I guess.

Maybe for us who already had the 2.0, basically beta testing the product for Rtek, could get the upgrade to 2.1 for free & you guys can just raise the price on the 2.1 for new customers purchasing the 2.1 since their are more features now.

What do you think?

I have previously commented on the cost.
3: The ver 2.1 update will have some cost associated with it, though we don't expect it to be anything significant. Nothing has been finalized, but at a minimum, the price will at least cover the cost of the chip (assuming you do it yourself). The PocketLOGGER software update that will be required to be used with ver 2.1 will be free.
We have no intention of raising the retail price at this time. The AFM removal option will most likely have an additional cost.

It won't (as said before and as listed here: https://www.rx7club.com/potential-advertisers-223/future-rtek-products-information-634195/)

As for the timeframe... essentially we've delayed it while we work on fixing the infamous secondary stumble.

Man that would be awesome and well worth the wait. I was actually going to post asking if anything could be done about it. I have grounded the hell out of my car and ECU and still I get that damn stumble bad. .

Thanks

if the maps for 2.1 are PSI vs RPM why do you still need the afm? I know there is a fuel cut relay in there, but that can be relocated easy enough to rewire. Is that the only thing needed with the 2.1 to remove the afm?

Cant calculate fuel from a timing table.

Turbo2ltr, Do you think you will have any 2.1 chips available at SS10?

That would greatly depend on how testing goes this weekend.

Not to be a dick or anything, but a date or something would be nice or a estimate price. Im just confused how every other company is able to put out this information but pocketlogger. Is it still being tested? Are there problems cause if there are its understandable. We've all chipped in our information about the stumble problem (if its rtek glitch or not) is a deal breaker for many including my self. Whats the deal, my car wants to see the road and drink gasoline. I have a 1.7 with out stumble fix...but im not going to send out for the stumble fix, install it wait for 2.1 and than send it out and re-install it again.

My understanding is... right now you can send in and get the chip for your 1.7 that will fix the stumble fix. It is $10. I think you may need to put down a core charge untill you return the eprom (chip) that is in your unit. After that no more stumble.

Are you going to ditch the 1.7 when the 2.1 comes out? Your last ssentence makes it sound like you are going to upgrade your 1.7 to a 2.1 on your 1.7 ECU. I don;t know how much they would charge you to do that but it will be alot more then $10. The 2.0 (1) costs quite a bit more than the 1.7. I'm pretty sure the 1.7 doesn't have a daugterboard in it, and I'm also pretty sure you cannot monitor with the palm pilot with the 1.7.

I am aware of the cost of the 1.7 to 2.0 upgrade. Question is will it be a quite bit more to 2.1? I mean im also not going to upgrade to a 2.0 and find out its 150 more for 2.1. (which I think I remember stated somewhere it wasn't) Cause if that is the case I will definitly go Microtech. But were left hanging cause we have no info. I like what rtek has done and the efforts and time they put in the product. I've read their whole site and almost every post in here. I have the PDA the injectors, **** I even have the car, but just waiting for 2.1 and I know im not the only one.

its not going to be anywhere near $100.
Henrik is away for a week. We will finalize a price the first thing when he gets back.
