That 1/8 mile mph shows it's going to make some killer times!

Few details.

ACT 6 puk disc with a extreme PP
just over 2600 lbs with me in the car
4.1 rear gear with 28x10x15 Hoosier slicks
Potential 150 rwhp left in the motor

Overall happy with the trans. That is if it holds up. Knew the v-gate shifter was bad *** but now that I've actually shifted one, wow what a feeling.

Hahaha. Allen's old trans is sitting in another FB chassis with a Ford 8.8 behind a 20B. It's seeing less action than it did with Allen.

Is your PP the extreme or extreme Maxx ?
Also is the disc sprung or solid ?

just extreme PP with solid hub

IFO Houston today

First qualifying pass. Broke third gear. Gone!

Second qualifying pass with no burn out easy launch. 1.8 60ft. No 3rd gear. went 10.7

Eliminations, went all out and it was crazy. Of course I lost. Maybe welding the spider gears in the rear end was a bad thing.

What a day!

I feel you.. Lost my 3rd gear in oct. Still just looking at the car. Need to send it back to liberty but if it's just going to break again I was thinking of changing to another tranny. Or maybe just start slow shifting 3rd. What's your plan?

repair this one and give it another try. Maybe just a fluke it broke. Trans was suppose to be totally rebuilt but maybe third gear was not changed and was old and ready to go.

I really like the gears in this trans. It woke up the power way beyond my dreams. I'll post a video of yesterdays 10.7 pass. You'll see how easy it looked even with no third gear.

Video. don't mind the mess. If I was trying to take something nice to the track I'd take the wife. I just want to have fun......

About the stock box. To be honest with you. lucky it was just a gear and can be fixed, then sold. You install a new third gear and then your case will break.

Last 8 months stripped (since installing the 28 inch Hoosiers) one third gear and broke the case on two others. All low mileage JDM turbo II trans brought back from Japan on our last tour there.

Got the box out and apart. What a bad rebuild but on the bright side it looks like a easy fix. One of the C-clips slip out of it groove and allowed the gear to move on the shaft. Going to replace a few sliders and give it another try.

See you at Ennis.

First video is 10.7 with no 3rd gear no launch.

Second video is 10.1 spinning first and letting off early.

Tried my hand at resurfacing a rotor housing. Took a set of old housing I thought were junk and brought them back to life. Well usable anyways.

We put the car on a dynopack today. Only wanted to do my fuel transition since adding two more 680cc injectors. Now 6x1600 and 2x680. Did the pulls in 3rd gear from 5000 to 7500 rpms. Made 570 afr in the high 10s. leaned it out to low 11s and made 630. 70% injector duty cycle. Was told these are mustang numbers. Not sure what it would have made in final gear at 8800 rpms.

And this was on a 5 $ spark plug. and stock turboII coils.
