Doug Nash 4+1 converted to a 4 speed. It's still clutch assisted. Freaking thing has given me so much trouble. Good thing about it is it will not split a case or strip a gear. Hopefully ordering parts in the morning to face plate it. Then I think all my issues will be over.

Did some testing last night. Time slip letting off a bit in 4th gear. Hurt something in the motor.
Trying new stuff is killing me. E85 and no intercooler with water meth injection. My DIY water injection was not injecting quick enough and air temp reached 200f in second gear. Temps did get down to high 150 by the end of 3rd gear but that was kinda late to make a full pass on a good motor. Will have motor apart next week to see if it was from high combustion temps that warped a seal or if the rotors are dented from detonation. Sure it is warped seals from high combustion temps.

Made a few changes to the trans, changed the gear ratio around a bit. 1st through 3rd gear took 4.7 seconds and was in 4th gear for almost a full second before the 1/8 mile.

Trans is almost as old as I and had even more loose bolt then me.

Trans was trying to shift into two gear at the same time. Modified the shift cams and things seem to be good now.

Clutch flow control valve, DIY type and cheap. Line lock. couple brake fittings and a switch.

Hope this helps the few that have asked about it.

My clutch flow control set up. Line lock, two brake three way splitters from a late 90 Toyota. When line lock is on it forces the fluid to go through the nitrous jet. Line lock off allows normal operation on the clutch. Push clutch in, activate line lock, once clutch peddle reaches the top of it's travel the peddle hit the switch deactivating the line lock. -

The three way brake line splitter is from a late 90s Toyota. Notice the one inlet is longer. This is were the nitrous jet goes. Use a 5mm drill bit so the jet seats inside the splitter.

This is my launch flow control activation switch. Simple on off two wire switch. Left foot depress clutch, right foot taps the switch, once left foot releases clutch the clutch peddle hits the switch turning off the flow control valve. (line lock)

Siemens Deka IV 220lb 212lb Injector FI114212 110333 | eBay

Installed two in the primary spot yesterday. Idle and start is good, no different then the Bosch 1600. Still on E85. 1500rpms idle. 8.5" vacuum.

IF I could do things over, SIX of these injectors with two Walbro 400 intank.

Faceplate 3rd and 4th gear parts. Will be installing these next month. Do a few test passes on the pro shifted gear with the new fuel setup first.

Faceplated transmissions are awesome! Car sounds really good idling too.

Can't wait to see some passes.

Good luck testing hope you break your barriers. Motor sounds great and look like you mean business without the intercooler.

we got the thing back on the rollers the other day. things are looking up again but can't take it to the track until next week. Made 650 at 7300rpms in 3rd gear. Taking it to 9000 rpms is just chasing a number. Here is something funny. We use cheap plugs to start new motors and get the idle, free rev and transition worked out. Then change plugs to the race plugs when making power pulls. Well forgot to change the 2$ v-power plugs before power pulls. Still made the power with out issues. Pulled the plugs when done and they looked great. no signs of heat. No misfire. So strange they work so well when some really smart guys on the forum say they are bad for a rotary. So funny.

added more water meth nozzles. 10% methanol for main fuel. Air temps were 15 deg F lower than the last time it was on the rollers. 120f. But the track will determine if things are going in the right direction. Will be adding one more M10 nozzle in the charge pipe just to play it safe.

Hey Chuck. Does that NITRO stuff work or is just another "snake oil"?

Contains 50% Nitropropane n 50% Koolinal as a blending and cooling agent. Koolinal resists detonation and pre-ignition.

The Koolinal is what was interesting. reason for trying it but at two to three oz per 4.5 gallons of fuel, how much is it really working. May try 4 oz per 4.5 gallons of fuel once things settle down. May try 8 oz per 4.5 gallons later. But at a dollar per oz it may get to expensive for me.

Be careful with that stuff! I bought some and put it in a plastic container. It was in there about two weeks and started to disolve the container.
Don't think I want that in my fuel lines.

After 23 months and a hole bunch of passes the Hoosiers were done. Best time this month was 9.8 at 146 with a 1.61 60 ft also spinning 4th gear a bit.

Going to try MT slicks this time around.

3rd hit on the new tires.

1.39 60ft and the guys were debating the 60ft was from the rear tires. 6.02 at 116mph 1/8 mile. Leaving roughly 100+hp on the table.
It was Clash of the Titians so only 1/8 mile runs today.

Rotating assembly is 88 na rotors and 88 turboII flywheel. NO balancing and stock weight.
