no offence i am a big guy gone down 10kg almost since i was at WGT last year. But wider in the shoulders

That's why the new car is a LHD as i will have more room there. And the reason why im making the floor totaly flat as well. To get the seat down as far as possible.

stay tuned for a new thread during spring or summer for the new car

cheers

Possibly a slightly silly question! On the E-shaft for the 4 rotor what holds all the sections tight together on the keyways and tapers? Is it relying on the flywheel and pulley to compress each end on when they are fitted and the engine plates to hold it in place until that point?

As I write it it sounds more stupid!! That can be the only way it works!?

Cheers

Jantore I don't know if you have any other friends with 4 rotor engine.but is it true that 4 rotor turbo engine can't withstand over 15psi of boost?

What is the reasoning behind that?

Sorry for high jacking this thread, my answer for TheAbsence and KKMpunkrock2011
is this. as i was torturing myself again watching this 4 rotor turbo video,i was looking through the comments and one comment stated that after that dyno run the engine was no good. and his reason being was the strength limit on the the center housing mod, hence the 15 psi limit. although i take his comments with a grain of salt, it might be possible and just wanted verification..

strength limit on the center housing mod? Uh... what?
maybe someone more knowledgeable than I can explain what the **** that's supposed to mean. You can't even tell it that uses 2 3 rotor large housings or if it uses regular housings and is p-ported, not like it would really mater.
this is the only info I could find
http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...=648307&page=2
http://sportscarforums.com/f12/histo...26b-14414.html
but I'm willing to bet running only 15lbs on that turbo would get you nowhere near 1600hp and a 7.2 second pass.

Center housings aka Intermediate plates if you wanna get technical. as you can see,two stock intermediate plates have to be modded to except the stationary bearing in order for this setup to work. and as you can see from the pics they seem to be held in place by some kind of C-clip, as i was saying from the previous post i took that youtube comment with a grain of salt.

Trust me when i say this. The center bearings will not move. The clip makes the stationary gear sitt completly stil. It's difficult to get out of the center housing. You will need a shop press to get it out. It's that thight, and it's hold in place by the allen bolts u see as well. And the clips is just there to make pressure and make shure it def will not move.

As far as i know in the video they are pusing 30+psi somehwere, and that the engine did run for almost 2 years with dragracing before they needed to rebuild it.

that does sound fantastic, what kind of power did you make? too how drivable is it? when i watch the videos floating around youtube of the scoot 4 rotor it looks like it wants to die when they rev hahahahah, then their driving video was constantly in the mid rpm's instead of letting them fall lower (like a normal cruising rpm).

wow 3 oil stalks, you can do a world record oil change for sure! Nice project and should last awhile unlike my 500rwhp at 1000psi 2 rotor lol.
