Mazdatrix sells them, for what it's worth.

Wouldn't the solid ones be more prone to cracking?

why solid?

this is for my race car , i am running methanol and if you put the stock corner plugs in a container with methanol they distort, i am assuming it will do the same thing if i put them inside the motor!! so it would be safer to use solid corner seals.

You're talking about the Viton plugs? Leave 'em out!

Methanol is not a pain in the *** once you got it figured out. Methanol fuel has notting to do with hard starting.
Leaving the rubber plugs out are not causing your starting/low compression problems. I never use the rubber plugs in any motor that's going to be making serious power becuase of the porting dimensions and I never have a problem with sealing or compression.
I honestly get better results with corner seals that have the hole in them than the solid ones.
Keep working at it and you'll reap the benefits of running with the best fuel a Rotary motor can run on!
BTW. My buddy just made 720RWHP with a T-76 turbo and there's still a lot of boost left in the setup!

methanol

i guess i should not have said pain in the *** but i am having bad luck already!! i had a intake EXPLOSION last week and it blew my manifold open like a banana! so i am a little gun shy now although i fixed the problem (for some reason my leading ig box has some issues) the explosion happend 1 hour after the motor had run!
what is a good pump to run for alchohol i am runnig two cartech right now but would prefer to run a single pump if i can.
i took the motor out today and i think the explosion did something to the rear rotor as it is the one giving me problems and it was full of fluid still. i also should say that my starter is only spinning about 130 rpms which is probably the main reason it will not start after warm. it is a chevy starter and v8's generally do not have to spin as fast as a rotary does. i found a place that can upgrade the motor so it should fix the problem along with the 16 volt battery i just got.
i am sick of the car right now so monday i am sending it to the body shop to have a one piece fiberglass/carbon fiber front end made and a new paint job!! that will teach tha bitch!!!

Yes. They crack at the 90 degree angle. A circular design would be able to take more abuse.

Those Cartech fuel pumps ain't gonna cut it in a Methanol setup!. You'll need at least two Weldon 2035 fuel pumps. A much cheaper and more efficent way would be to use the new Aeromotive mechanical fuel pump design for electronic fuel injection. That's what I'm using and a lot of racers are converting to it. It supports 2700 HP and flows 450 gallons per hour and operates up to 200psi! It was designed to flow enough fuel at cranking speed to enable a motor wit EFI to start. I believe it flows like 40 psi at 50 rpm!
You need to get a reduction, high speed/torque starter for V-8 applications.

starter

that is the starter i am using but the problem is that to make it work with the third gen rear manual housing you have to use the 168 tooth flexplate ( and it still barely clears) . the starter is working properly but just not fast enough. i guess this is all part of the learnig curve i got all year so i will get it right eventually
