ok i found out, the chase bike is the turbo busa that races in the video against the nos busa, hear it boost and blow off when it shifts in the video

 

I told em you told em its all about the power to wieght ratio. 600hp aint **** if it wieghs 2 tons. I mean look at semis my dads has 700hp and 2000ft lbs of tq. and its slower than ***.

btw i made a mistake the corvette has 900 hp enuff to smack down almost any car i know of, except an rx7 with the same set up

 

I'm not surprised a zx-10 walked it. It's kawi's new baby and the thing is absolutely ***** off the wall insane. Comes stock with a steering damper I believe, because of how much power and it needs front end stability.

agreed, the Kaw 10R is strong (about 165 rwhp), but if the vette really has 600+ at the wheels it should be able to easily run the bike down above 100

DUDE again hp/weight ration, plus the vette had 900 hp not 600, my mistake matter of fact a few morons on the link i will provide, u guys, they though i was bull shitting, call me stupid and a liar, and even gave me negative reputation points, ******** they are...it is simple physics , maybe you all can go to the thread and reopen the wound, let it bleed. lets make a quick test and triple the weight of the bike..the bike tripled is 1200 lbs, triple the hp makes it 600hp on ram air, 450 on the dyno..ok lets do it 5x the wieght...2000 lbs and 1000 hp on ram or 800 hp on the dyno...the vette weight about 3400, go figure.

yeah but the aerodynamics on a bike suck compaired to most sports cars which is why at higher speeds it's easier for a car to run down a bike.

 

Precisely. That was a fast bike for sure, but I'm not sure about the 900 HP vette. Wish they had listed the mods. It takes a LOT of work to make a 900 HP LS1.

 

well um that depends, lets compare surface area, the surface of a bike is much smaller, and the zx10r has the surface area smaller then the 600 ninja!, 33% less at that and was created in a wind tunnel! ....thats in reference to the response about surface area and drag...., about hp > i saw a 638 fwhp is 300 get beat by an r1, and pretty bad at that, so i believe for that vette to hang so close to that ninja he needed serious ponies, and the nos busa as u can see was just monstruos. oh btw the vette was supercharged, n/a hp was probably 600 hp, and at 15-20 psi i think its feasable to see those numbers...look at the procharger website for more details. thats why i am gonna go with a 500 hp street thumper in my fd, i wanna the torque and hp, and the sound of that mean 383 with afr heads with a roller cam. dadayuuuuuuummmmmmm

 

i can say this if u stick ur head up on that bike at 180, ur earodynamics will equal that of a parachut.lol, and u will feel the burn real quick when it sand blast ya off the horse

 

Most sportbike mags I've seen have attained on average about a 146mph trap speed from the ZX-10R. Very fast bike, and I can understand how it destroyed a 690hp corvette (could be bhp for all we know).

 

well for any car to seriously run against that kinda hp/weight ratio...it better be 1100 hp and with low end torque at that, because high hp is useless if take 3hrs to climb up...a lot of guys dont consider the hp to torque curve and the time proportion...i mean u can have a car making 600 lbs torque and 900 hp, at 11 rpms, but it makes only 200 lbs torque and 200 hp at 8 rpm,....think fat heavy supras with this one

 

hmm a 650rx7 should be able to do it. I beleive Ari from rx7.com was making 650hp and running very low 9.0's in the 1/4. That would be more the sufficent.

 

yes that would be sufficient, but thats not a street car, thats a full race vehicle, we are referring to a car that is streetable to some degree, without slicks btw...like i said u can make a lawn mower make 1000 hp and race a jet plane on the quarter and win, but thats not practical is it....now if i can find a street tire full body , street suspension rx7 with a stock tranny and rear running those numbers, now thats will be a site to behold, or a v8 rx7 with juice on the street hnmmmmm, tasty

 

hmm im sure there are some 20b guys with street tires running low 10's streetable. I wonder though the lingerfelter 427 TT vette did 0-60 in 1.97 seconds. I wonder if that was slicks or street ETs
